NO late entries, if an exception is made by show management a $20 office fee will be added to your registration. We print several copies of the order of go prior to the show as well as judges score sheet for pleasure shows. Changes require a reprint or hand written updates to every copy (up to 50 updates per contestant to updated all documents and copies) as well as update to our tabulations sheet. This is very time consuming and can be costly if a re-print is needed of every document.
High Point is based on one horse one rider combo
Horses that are known to kick must have a red ribbon in their tail
In the 8-10 age group only: Lead line is allowed for those not confident enough to ride alone in the arena but only for walk/trot & gymkhana classes. You cannot have a lead line in any classes that require you to canter or lope.
No call no show contestants will be charged a $20 office fee that will need to be paid before attending another horse show at McKeever. You will be provided a cell phone number to notify the horse show manager if you cannot make it by 7 AM the day of the show.
No stallions allowed on the grounds

All dogs must be on a leash, aggressive or dogs barking at horses or people will be asked to leave.

You must ride in a Western saddle
Helmet & Boots required
Short Sleeve OK (no sleeveless), must cover midriff and be 4-H appropriate (no profanity or advertising not appropriate for minors)
No running in or out of the arena gate, you must walk in and out, if needed for safety reason you may be led in or dismount to walk through gate. Running in will be considered a disqualification.
Walking with a rider past the white line or using a lead is allowed if needed for safety/confidence reasons. 8-10 age group will still get a placing but for older age groups this will be considered a disqualification.
Horses must be under control at all times
Show management determines what is considered a disqualification for off pattern, it will be the same for all contestants in the age group. Leniency is often given for forward motion and fixing patterns by going back to a missed obstacle but not actually going off pattern especially for the 8-10 age group. Going fully around a barrel or pole will be a disqualification.
These shows are all family friendly events. Failure to follow these rules could result is being asked to leave the grounds with no refund and no points/placings counting for the day. This includes those you are representing.
