This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is issued by Code Connect Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). This Policy explains how we handle data for our mobile application, Langofy: AI Language Learning (the "App"). Langofy is a language learning platform designed to help users master new languages. While we plan to add utility tools such as text translation, voice conversation, and camera translation in future updates, the current version focuses on interactive AI tutoring. By using the App, you agree to the rules in this Policy.
OUR PRIVACY PROMISE
Local Processing: We value your privacy. Your learning history and AI interaction logs stay on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers.
Minimal Data: We only use the information needed to make the app work for you.
User Control: You have the power to erase your local data or change device permissions at any time.
DATA WE HANDLE
On-Device Information: Your interaction history and learning progress are stored locally on your phone. We cannot access your personal data or conversation logs.
AI Tutor (Google Gemini API): To provide the AI Tutor experience, the app uses the Google Gemini API. When you interact with the AI Tutor, your input is processed securely via Google’s API to generate a response. This data is used solely to facilitate the AI interaction.
Real-Time Media: We request microphone access only when you use voice-based features. This audio is processed ephemerally in real-time to facilitate conversation practice and is not stored or saved by us.
Camera & Files (Upcoming): Advanced features like camera translation or document analysis are planned for future updates. Permissions for these tools are disabled in the current build and will only be deployed locally upon feature release.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We work with trusted partners to help the app function, serve advertisements, and process premium features:
Google Gemini: Powers the AI Tutor response mechanics.
Advertising Partners: To provide our service, we show advertisements from AdMob and mediation partners including Meta, Pangle, and Liftoff. These partners may utilize your device’s advertising identifier (AD_ID) to deliver relevant content, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.
Subscription Processing: Premium subscription transactions are handled securely through Google Play Billing. We do not store or process your financial billing records on our servers.
APP PERMISSIONS
We request only the minimum flags required to host core tutoring features and deliver basic application updates safely:
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Enables voice-driven interaction with the AI Tutor. Audio stream execution is strictly ephemeral.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Dispatches context-aware study indicators, subscription status updates, and streak alerts to keep you engaged.
Internet Access (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Validates your connection state and links cleanly with secure cloud routing to load AI text and ad units safely.
Persistence (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Reschedules your customized inexact notification times immediately following a hardware reboot, ensuring local task stability without draining battery power via exact alarm components.
Reminders (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): This permission is used to display high-priority alerts and scheduled practice reminders directly on your lock screen. This allows you to quickly start a conversation or AI tutor session to practice speaking English at specific times you set, so you can keep improving without delay.
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Data Erasure: Since all learning history and conversation logs are saved strictly in your device's local database, you can completely erase your history at any time by clearing the App's storage or data through your device's native System Settings.
Manage Permissions: You can turn off microphone access or disable notifications at any time through your device's application permission settings.
Ad Choices: You can opt-out of personalized tracking ads by resetting or disabling your advertising ID within your phone’s system privacy settings.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Langofy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or keep any personal information from children.
