This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is issued by Code Connect Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). This Policy explains how we handle data for our mobile application, Langofy (the "App").
Langofy is a language learning platform that features an AI Tutor, text translation, voice conversation, camera translation, and document analysis. By using the App, you agree to the rules in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Local Processing: We value your privacy. Your learning progress, history, and files stay on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers.
Minimal Data: We only use the information needed to make the app work for you.
User Control: You have the power to delete your data or change permissions at any time.
On-Device Information: Your translation history, dictionary searches, and saved phrases are stored only on your phone. We cannot see or access your personal history.
AI Tutor (Google Gemini API): To provide the AI Tutor mascot, the app uses the Google Gemini API. When you talk to the AI Tutor, your text or voice transcript is sent to Google so the AI can answer you.
Note: This API is used only for the AI Tutor. It is not used for our other translation tools.
Real-Time Media: We use your microphone for voice tools and your camera for image translation. This happens in real-time and is not saved by us.
Documents: Files you translate are processed only to provide the translation and are not kept afterward.
We work with a few trusted partners to help the app function:
Google Gemini: Powers the AI Tutor mascot.
Advertising Partners: To provide our Services at no cost, we show advertisements from AdMob and mediation partners including Meta, InMobi, Pangle, and Liftoff. These partners may utilize your device’s advertising identifier to deliver relevant content and measure ad performance. The use of data by these third parties is governed by their respective privacy policies.
We only ask for permissions that are necessary:
Microphone: To speak with the AI Tutor and use voice translation/conversation.
Camera: To translate text through your camera lens.
Internet: To connect to the AI and download translation data.
Storage: To translate documents saved on your device.
Clear History: You can delete your history or saved words anytime using the "Clear" button in the app settings.
Manage Permissions: You can turn off camera or microphone access in your phone’s settings menu at any time.
Ad Choices: You can opt-out of personalized ads in your phone’s privacy settings.
Global Standards: We follow privacy laws like the GDPR and CCPA. Even though we do not store your data on our servers, we respect your right to access, change, or delete your information at any time.
Langofy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or keep any personal information from children.
