Pastor David L. Hysten Jr. was blessed to be raised in a Holy Ghost-filled family, where his love for God and music flourished. From a young age, he played drums and keyboard for churches and music groups across the U.S. Despite his deep involvement in music, Pastor Hysten always felt a calling to do more for God's kingdom. This calling became clear one Sunday morning when he was given the opportunity to preach the Word of God. That moment marked the beginning of his journey to teach and preach God's Word, and he has never looked back.

Throughout his ministry, Pastor Hysten has had the privilege of serving under esteemed leaders such as the late Bishop M.P. Jackson Sr., Bishop Samuel Abbott, Bishop T.L. Hood, Supt. Walter O. Sherrod, and many more. He is also the nephew of the late Aaron Arthur, whose legacy continues to inspire him.

In 2019, Pastor Hysten and his wife Mary launched a couples ministry focused on relationship goals and issues that married couples may face. Through social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube, they reached over 1,000 people, providing support and guidance to many. However, there mission did not stop there. While serving other churches, God impressed upon them the vision to start Power Outreach Az.
