Parent Education & Family Advocasy course

A structured, educational course designed for parents and caregivers across texas to build knowledge, confidence, and advocacy skills related to child welfare, family systems, and long term family stability.

Module 1: Understanding cps (cps 101)

Overview of CPS roles, processes, and how families can navigate the system.

Module 2: Rights Responsibilities (education only)

Education on parental rights, responsibilities, and expectations within child welfare systems.

Module 3: Kinship Care and Family Placement

Understanding kinship care options, family placement processes, and caregiver support.

Module 4: Trauma-Informed Skills and Youth Voice (non-clinical)

Trauma-informed education focused on listening to youth, building trust, and strengthening family communication.

Module 5: Court Basics and Long-Term Stability

Understanding court processes, timelines, and planning for long-term family stability
