My comments/questions/recommendations:

- do you see Poweramp UI on your Chromecast screen (if it's with the screen)? If yes, this means Chromecast device is able to access cc.powerampapp.com, otherwise the

problem may lay in the access to

- your log is from Feb-16, is your phone date correct? Invalid date/time will cause secure connections to fail

- when you're connected to your Wifi, is it the same network as used for Chromecast?

- when you're connected to your Wifi, go to the device settings / Network & internet / Internet / your wifi / and ensure network usage is not "Treat as metered"

- may be try to disable "Adaptive connectivity" - at least for a test

@maxmp I suspect he meant an option to avoid using cc.powerampapp.com and use whatever default Google method that VLC/etc use (which as I understand it, does display a Chromecast option when PA does not). I don't fully understand the technical requirements, but I assume that doing so would limit the ability to use things like uncompressed audio.

@andrewilley if you want to transcode all your casted music to mp3, yes I guess it's possible, but I don't think our users want this. Also cc.powerampapp.com is not an issue. From the user logs there is connection issue within chromecast libraries (==google play services).

I used to use play music on my old phone, I just got a new one and it seems play music no longer works. So I bought poweramp earlier today to replace it (Since it seems to support replaygain). I'm having trouble reordering stuff in the shuffle queue. 99% of the time when I listen to music, I like to make a random list of all the songs in my library, and then slightly reorder/adjust the upcoming stuff (Like removing songs I don't feel like listening to right this second, or moving songs I like more that are close by closer). I'm not sure what the best way to achieve a similar workflow with poweramp is.

I can only answer from a HD500 perspective. A lot depends on the poweramp, with a tube poweramp I would use the Helix preamps, with a neutral poweramp I would use the full amp models. The 2x12 can only sound like it does, a closed 2x12 will never sound like an open 1x12. How loud do you play? Will the tube poweramp be cranked?

The only difference is as these fine gentlemen pointed out - if you use powered monitors, then you won't need the power amp. If you are using plain old speakers with no power source, then you will need the KPA with poweramp, OR, you can power the speakers with a separate amplifier and just use the KPA without a power amp. The poweramp literally provides power to speakers. So, there's a lot of talk about which Cabs to use with the KPA.

If you are playing live, however, you need to consider how the KPA is going to be used. You can use the KPA without poweramp (aka, "the lunchbox") and then plug into a regular guitar amp, but that will color the tone and you won't get exactly what you're looking for. IF, however, you use a powered monitor (FRFR - full range flat response) that you would use for a keyboard or for just vocals, then you can use the non-powered KPA lunchbox. Or, you can use the KPA with poweramp and plug into speaker cabs. OR, you can use the KPA lunchbox and plug directly into the house system, which you can then hear through the house speakers and/or monitors. ff782bc1db
