Power of Two is a Canadian Trumpet and Piano duo dedicated to performing works by Canadian and underrepresented composers. This includes uncovering hidden gems in the trumpet and piano duo repertoire, as well as commissioning new works. As female-identifying musicians, Power of Two aims to inspire and empower young women in music through leading by example. Not only are they recitalists, but they are also dedicated to outreach and education, and offer masterclasses and workshops in elementary and high schools. Power of Two believes in making strong connections with communities, whether they are large or small, to assist in the continuation of interest in the arts. Through their programming and educational aspects to their recitals, they aim to make trumpet and piano duo repertoire more accessible and representative of the world today.
