"Power electronics" is a technology for efficient use of energy. This technology is widely used in home appliances, portable devices and even equipment with large power at the plants and so on.
Our group is carrying out research into the power converters (PWM rectifier, Inverter, DC-DC converter, Matrix converter) with semiconductor power devices. Moreover, research projects on motor drive techniques, converters for renewable energy (Photovoltaic generation, Wind-power generation), smart grid and converters for electric vehicle have been performed.
In our recent advances, proposal of new circuit topologies and control methods have been considered for reducing converters’ size. The main goal of the research is to focus on students and propose research themes. First, we carefully consider previous studies. The acquired control methods are then verified by numerous simulations and prototypes. Finally, experiments are performed on this prototype whose data is then being analyzed to further develop the system.
