A Customer Testimonial . . .

Charlotte to the rescue!

A small, Waikiki studio apartment remodel turned into a nightmare after not one, but two, different electricians had me at the end of my rapidly fraying rope.

The first one took a $2200 deposit and was never to be seen again. The second did such awful, sloppy work, that even I, as a layperson, could see things weren’t right.

A Civil Engineer acquaintance recommended I reach out to Charlotte for a “third party” assessment of the work before closing up the walls saying he knew nobody more detail oriented in the business. I did, and as I suspected, the work I had already essentially paid twice for, wasn’t code compliant. Worse than that, it wouldn’t have done what the lighting plan and electrical switching plan called for. Essentially it was back to square one. I was gutted.

Imagine my surprise and delight when I was finally dealing with a consummate professional who took time to listen to the client, actually read and understand the plans I had spend hundreds of dollars on, ask appropriate questions, think through things the architect and designer had missed in terms of user friendliness, schedule appointments and keep them, and take pride in her work. All things so hard to find in any of the trades these days. At one time these were all standard and basic business practices, but because it is so uncommon anymore, it deserves special mention.

Her workmanship is extraordinary in terms of neatness and functionality. The wiring in the breaker box is actual pretty; symmetrical and meticulously labeled. I know it just worked out this way, but the wire colors actually are arranged in a very artistically appealing way. Meticulous is how I would describe not only the fuse box but all of her work.

We have gotten away from using the term craftsman (or woman). It’s probably just as well because those individual are the ones who really learn their craft, and their work is an extension of the fiber of their very being; they live for their craft honing their skills with each job they embark upon. Charlotte may be one of the few, true craftswoman out there.

I’m happy to discuss my satisfaction with the job Charlotte did for me and to further amplify my recommendation of her ability.

With all good wishes, I am,

Sincerely,

J Dennis Paulin
