Join us as we officially kick off the 4th Annual Public Health Day! We’ll begin the day with welcoming remarks and a celebration of the students, faculty, and community members who are making a difference in public health. During this opening session, we’ll recognize this year’s award recipients and present their certificates in celebration of their accomplishments, dedication, and contributions to public health.

Documentary Screening
In this session, we will screen "Becoming American" from the California Newsreel series "Unnatural Causes: Are Inequalities Making Us Sick?". This episode presents the "Latino Paradox" that explores why recent Mexican immigrants who arrive to the United States healthier than the average American, suffer poorer health the longer they live here.
