Potsdam Morpho-Syntax Lab

About our lab

The Potsdam Morphosyntax-Lab unites researchers with an interest in theoretical (generative) morphology and syntax and their interfaces with semantics (LF) and phonology (PF). We have a strong interest in questions pertaining to the architecture of grammar, the study of understudied languages/varieties, questions relating to variation and variability, and in experimental methods that help us to advance morphological/syntactic theory.

We are in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Potsdam and have close ties with the semantics group headed by Malte Zimmermann.

We are part of the broader cognitive science community in Potsdam and actively participate in the collaborative research center 1278 on Limits of Variability in Language
