Pothole Copilot Privacy Policy

Pothole Copilot is designed to operate primarily on the user’s device. It does not require an account and does not automatically upload recorded hazards, Road Surveys or travel information to the developer.

Location information

Pothole Copilot uses the iPhone’s location services to record hazard locations, operate approach warnings and support Road Surveys. Saved locations remain on the user’s device unless the user deliberately shares or exports them.

Pothole Copilot does not store a speed history or continuous record of the user’s travels. The app may temporarily use current movement, direction and location information while providing warnings.

Sharing and exported files

Users may choose to export hazards, collections or Road Surveys as KML files. Exported information is shared only through the method selected by the user, such as Mail, Messages, AirDrop or another compatible app.

Third-party services

Pothole Copilot relies on Apple-provided services for functions such as location, mapping, street-name lookup, Siri and file sharing. Those services are governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and device settings.

Personal information

Pothole Copilot does not require users to provide their name, email address or other personal information to use the app. Information sent voluntarily in a support email will be used only to respond to that support request.

Data control

Users can review and delete saved hazards, Road Surveys and collections within the app. Removing Pothole Copilot may also remove all hazards, Road Surveys and collections stored in the app.
