We pop up into any space that doesn't have carpets.
We adapt to your situation, wants and needs.
Before you book, we take time and care to come up with a great pop up plan. Depending on your wishes, I can offer a group introduction, on-going instruction, demonstrations, party games etc.
It normally takes 30 - 60 minutes for me to set up before your session starts and 60 minutes to clean up at the end. Therefore, for your 2 hour, hands in clay session, I may be in the venu or at your home for 4 hours. I do the set up and clean up. In other words, your 2 hours are soley spent playing and working the clay.
Age considerations: adult present for under 18s. Also, once clay is on your hands, care needs to be taken to not spread it around. So, some sessions, especially indoor pop ups, may not be suitable for fidgets.
We run two clubs. If you're not a regular, book your induction through Eventbrite:
https://potform.eventbrite.com
Wednesday Clay Club meet most weeks, 11 AM - 2 PM at Soft Touch cafe. We have leather hard and soft clay to doodle, trim and explore other clayful techniques.
Hobby Potter Sunday meet approximately twice a month, 1 PM - 3 PM at The Exchange Bar. We practise thowing - with wet clay on wheels.
Once you've done your induction, becoming a regular is by far the cheapest way to hone your clay skills. Regulars pay £7 to attend Wednesday's club and £19.50 for Sunday's.
The following are of some of the ways we bring clayfulness into your world. There is flexibility within and beyond this list so get in touch to chat about your bespoke pop up.
These prices do not include mileage. Add 45p per mile. To estimate what this additional cost will be, I'll be travelling to and from the Knighton area in LE2.

What will I need?
-Apron or old clothes
-Hair tie, if you've long hair
What if I want to do the trimming and finishing myself?
-Book us for a Trimming & Finishing Lesson 1 to 14 days after the throwing lesson and I will return with tools, equipment and your leather hard pots.
I've got long finger nails, do I need to cut them?
-Throwing pots is definitely more pleasant without finger nails but there are work arounds, such as using ball tools or finger shaped wooden tools, which I will bring along.
What happens to my pots if I don't have the space or facility for wet clay?
- If wanted, I transport your pots to my home studio where I control the drying and, depending on your make, I may need to prepare them for firing. Because I will only fire the kiln when it is jam packed full and/or when the PV panels are prodcuding plenty of energy, you may need to wait a while before they are fired.
What about health and safety?
-We take the health and safety of eveyone seriously and risk assess all of our events. We ask all participants to read, understand and sign our Health & Safety Information, Risk Assessment & Disclaimer. We have tried to make it a useful and interesting read so, if you would like to see an example of one, please email: potform1@gmail.com.
