Mrs. Robyn Selders
Assistant Color Guard Director
Ms. Lisa Kidd devotes hours of her own time and energy to ensure that the Temple City Color Guard is the best that it can be! As she once twirled green and gold herself, she knows how important this program is to everyone that belongs.
Did you know:
Ms. Kidd hates Bluey! She will try and tell you that she doesn't it, but she gave Mr. Saxon such a hard time for his love for Bluey that there is no way that she could then change her mind to enjoy it!
Ms. Kidd has a profound love for Muppets! They bring her happiness...she even has a stuffed animal made out of muppet fur :)
Ms. Kidd has a deep fear of inflatable costumes...I mean, she must! She ABANDONED Mrs. Selders, not once...but TWICE, in competitions when SHE was the one who decided inflatable costumes would be worn. Luckily...Mrs. Selders is so amazing and was able to continue on and even win a trophy!
Ms. Kidd and Mrs. Selders got stuck in a Starbucks parking lot after a Color Guard comp while towing the trailer. At one point, they unhitched the trailer, which then tried to roll into Mrs. Selders's truck until they could get it reattached, and then it took a 94 point turn to finally get out of the parking lot. But, they both enjoyed their starbucks
Ms. Kidd is just awful at golf...case in point, in the former photograph to the left, you'll notice she has completed her swing, yet the ball is still on the tee.
Mr. Kidd decided to keep the fact that he had a sister a secret until she actually became a student at TCHS herself. Everyone found out that she existed at the Band Junior High Preview night for football. See...it's important to keep some traditions alive since you never know what you might discover and some of these events!
Ms. Kidd took sign language class with two of her friends at PCC so that they would be able to gossip in front of all their other friends...shame on you Ms. Kidd!
After Ms. Kidd refused to take her bicycle with her to freshman year at UCSB, she then hid the fact that she bought herself a bicycle from her family for a year to 'save face.'
In her first year teaching at Temple City High School, Ms. Kidd drove her car into one of the yellow polls in the student parking lot? Don't worry, it wasn't like she was 8 months pregnant at the time.
Band Director
