Effective date: 29 September 2026
PostSaver ("the app") helps you save links, posts, videos and files and reminds you to revisit them. This policy explains what happens to your information. In short: your vault stays on your phone. We don't have servers, accounts, ads or analytics, and we don't collect, sell or share your data.
What the app stores
Everything you save — links, titles, the saved text of articles and posts, images, PDFs and other files, your notes, tags, folders, reminders and settings — is stored only on your device, inside the app's private storage.
• We (the developer) never receive a copy of it.
• Uninstalling the app deletes it, unless you made a backup.
• Files you share into the app are copied into the app so they keep working; nothing is uploaded.
What the app does not collect
• No account, name, email or phone number
• No location, contacts or browsing history
• No advertising ID, analytics or crash reporting
• No ads and no tracking of any kind
Internet connections the app makes
To save a link, the app downloads that page directly from your phone, just like a browser would. Depending on the link, it may also contact these services to get the title, text, pictures or transcript:
• The website you saved (for example medium.com, substack.com, youtube.com, linkedin.com, x.com, or any other site)
• YouTube (youtube.com, i.ytimg.com) — video details, thumbnails and transcripts
• X / Twitter (publish.twitter.com, cdn.syndication.twimg.com) — the text and photos of X posts
• FxTwitter (api.fxtwitter.com) — the full text of long X posts
• Microlink (api.microlink.io) and Noembed (noembed.com) — page previews when a site blocks the app
• Google (google.com) — small website icons, Google Drive previews and share.google links
These requests contain only the address of the link you chose to save — never your other saved posts, notes or any personal information. Each service handles requests under its own privacy policy.
Backups
A backup is a .zip file that the app creates only when you tap Save backup or Send to Drive. You choose where it goes (your phone, Google Drive or another app). The developer cannot see your backups.
Permissions
• Internet — to fetch the links you save
• Notifications — to show your reminders and the optional daily digest
• Alarms & reminders — so reminders appear at the exact time you picked
• Run at startup — to restore your reminders after your phone restarts
• Files — only the files you pick or share into the app
Ratings
If you choose to rate the app, Google Play shows its own rating window. That rating is handled by Google under the Google Play terms; the app doesn't see it.
Children
PostSaver is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address and in the app, with a new effective date.
