Effective Date: July 19, 2026 Application: POS Thermal Printer
Welcome to the POS Thermal Printer application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application", "App", "We", "Us", or "Our"). We are deeply committed to safeguarding the privacy and personal data of our users (hereinafter referred to as "You", "Your", or the "User"). This Comprehensive Privacy Policy establishes the overarching framework governing the collection, processing, storage, transmission, and protection of any data generated, accessed, or utilized during your interaction with the Application. By downloading, installing, accessing, or otherwise utilizing the Application, you explicitly consent to the practices, protocols, and stipulations explicitly laid out within this document. If you disagree with any portion of this Privacy Policy, you must immediately cease all use of the Application and permanently uninstall it from all your devices.
The Application has been meticulously architected to operate primarily as an offline utility tool bridging your mobile device and your physical Point of Sale (POS) hardware. 2.1 No Cloud Storage: We do not maintain, rent, lease, or utilize any external cloud servers, databases, or third-party data centers to store your business data. 2.2 Local Storage Mechanism: All sensitive business information—including but not limited to store names, addresses, taxation configurations, currency settings, inventory items, invoice generation records, historical transaction logs, and custom receipt headers/footers—is stored exclusively on the internal solid-state storage of the user's specific hardware device utilizing isolated, encrypted local storage protocols (e.g., Hive databases). 2.3 Data Sovereignty: Because all data remains entirely on your local device, you retain 100% absolute sovereignty and ownership over your business data. We possess zero technical capacity to access, view, intercept, harvest, monetize, or transmit your transaction history or customer data.
To facilitate communication between the Application and external hardware (specifically, ESC/POS compatible thermal printers), the Application must request explicitly defined operating system permissions.
3.1 Location Services (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) Under the security architecture of the Android Operating System, scanning for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and classic Bluetooth devices requires the application to declare and request Location permissions. Why it is required: When the Application scans for unpaired or paired Bluetooth thermal printers in your immediate physical vicinity, Android interprets this as a potential location-tracking vector, thereby mandating the Location permission. Safeguard: We unequivocally state that the Application does not utilize GPS, Wi-Fi triangulation, or cell-tower data to track your physical geographical coordinates. We do not map, record, or transmit your physical location to any external server. The permission is utilized strictly for the localized hardware handshake required to initiate printer discovery.
3.2 Bluetooth Connectivity (BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH_SCAN) Why it is required: These permissions are the core functional prerequisite for the Application. They allow the device to activate the Bluetooth radio, discover compatible thermal receipt printers, establish a secure localized socket connection, and transmit binary byte-code containing the receipt rendering instructions. Safeguard: The Application only interfaces with devices that broadcast standard printing protocols. It does not attempt to pair with, read data from, or extract information from other Bluetooth peripherals such as audio devices, smartwatches, or other mobile phones.
3.3 Network and Internet Status (INTERNET, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) Why it is required: A. Wi-Fi/LAN Printers: To discover and connect to network-attached thermal printers via TCP/IP sockets (typically utilizing Port 9100), the Application must be able to read the current subnet configuration and transmit data over the local network. B. Advertisement Delivery: To support the ongoing maintenance and free distribution of this Application, we integrate third-party advertisement networks (Google AdMob). The Internet permission is required to fetch, cache, and display these advertisements.
To maintain the Application as a free utility, we employ Google AdMob to serve graphical banner and application-open advertisements. 4.1 Data Collection by AdMob: Google AdMob acts as an independent third-party data processor. AdMob utilizes proprietary algorithms and data collection vectors to serve contextually relevant advertisements. This may include the collection and processing of your device's unique Advertising ID, IP address, device model, operating system version, and general usage metadata. 4.2 Opt-Out Mechanisms: Users have the right to limit ad tracking via their device's operating system settings (e.g., navigating to Android Settings > Google > Ads > "Opt out of Ads Personalization"). 4.3 AdMob Privacy Policy: We do not control the data collected by Google AdMob. Your interaction with advertisements is governed strictly by Google's Privacy Policy, which can be reviewed comprehensively at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5.1 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - Europe): For users residing within the European Economic Area (EEA), the Application acts in strict compliance with GDPR directives by adhering to the principle of "Data Minimization." Because we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no centralized database from which to request a "Right to be Forgotten" or "Data Portability" action. If you wish to permanently erase your data, you simply need to utilize the "Clear App Data" function within your Android OS settings or uninstall the Application entirely. 5.2 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): We do not sell, trade, or distribute the personal information of California residents. We operate solely as a localized utility provider. 5.3 Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): This Application is categorized as a Business-to-Business (B2B) and professional utility tool. It is not directed at, nor designed to attract, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or store any information from minors.
Subject to your strict adherence to the terms contained herein, we grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and utilize the Application solely for your personal or internal business operations, strictly in accordance with this Agreement.
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED ON A STRICTLY "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE APPLICATION, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT AGAINST INTERFERENCE WITH YOUR ENJOYMENT OF THE APPLICATION, THAT THE FUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE APPLICATION WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS, THAT THE OPERATION OF THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT CALCULATIONS OR TAX COMPUTATIONS WILL BE FLAWLESS, OR THAT DEFECTS IN THE APPLICATION WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DIRECTORS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF BUSINESS DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, CORRUPTION OF LOCAL STORAGE, HARDWARE FAILURE (INCLUDING THERMAL PRINTER OVERHEATING OR DAMAGE), TAX CALCULATION ERRORS RESULTING IN FINANCIAL PENALTIES, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION, HOWEVER CAUSED, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developers, owners, and affiliates of the Application from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal and attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Application; (b) your violation of any term of this Agreement; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property right, publicity, confidentiality, property, or privacy right; or (d) any claim that your use of the Application caused damage to a third party (including your customers or government tax authorities).
10.1 Hardware: We do not guarantee compatibility with all thermal printers on the market. The ESC/POS standard varies significantly by manufacturer. We are not liable for wasted thermal paper, misprinted receipts, or hardware malfunctions. 10.2 Financial Computations: The Application includes features for generating invoices, applying taxes (e.g., GST, VAT), and calculating totals. These tools are provided for convenience only. You bear the sole and absolute responsibility to independently verify all financial calculations, tax applications, and accounting metrics generated by the Application before presenting them to customers or submitting them to any local, state, or federal tax authority. We accept zero liability for auditing failures, tax fines, or accounting discrepancies.
We reserve the absolute right to unilaterally modify, amend, or replace this Comprehensive Privacy Policy and EULA at any time. Your continued use of the Application following the posting of any changes constitutes your binding acceptance of those modifications.
