Positive Play Tigard, PPT, was created in 2023 for the young athletes of Tigard. We are based out of the Metzger neighborhood and use Metzger elementary school and Metzger park often. Please stop by, say "hello" and check us out if you see us in the area. 

We are passionate, engaged and focused on the simple goal of getting Tigard's youth involved in team sports. We believe that inclusion and positive sportsmanship will help these children to become healthy young athletes and good people in life.

PPT's founder, Donovan Manfredi, works at TTSD in the Metzger Elementary's SPED department as an LSA and ran the 2024 after school enrichment classes. Working with students to understand and control their emotions, using mindfulness and breathing when in challenging situations.    

Coach Donovan has also played in adult leagues and coached multiple sports teams through several different Little Leagues. In a very unique way he has combined them into an amazing learning experience. The curriculum has been put together to build off of each lesson plan, to gradually get them into a successful, game ready, positive playing unit.
