Coaching Staff

Louis Vesce

Coach Vesce is a graduate of Iona College playing at the Division One level. Vesce joined the Port Richmond staff in 2002 as an assistant coach under the great Steve Peretzman. By 2006 Vesce was promoted to Head Coach of the program, which by 2008 brought Port Richmond it's programs first football city championship in PSAL. Coach Vesce is a staff member at Port Richmond as a Dean and an ICT Science teacher.

Philip Torres

Coach Torres, who is very close to Head Coach Louis Vesce, joined the staff in 2005 and has been side by side with the Port Richmond Head Coach ever since. In 2011 Coach Torres was promoted to Offensive Coordinator where he currently holds that role. Torres played his college football at Wilkes University. Coach Torres is a staff member at Port Richmond as a Dean and an ISS Math Teacher.

Joseph Marinello

Coach Marinello started his coaching career in 2002 by starting a football program at William Grady in Brooklyn, spending 12 seasons there as an assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. Marinello then took the job available as the Port Richmond Junior Varsity Head Coach in 2014. Coach works in the building as a Dean and as a freshman gym teacher.

Ryan Sullivan

Coach Sullivan is the son of the Staten Island legend Bill Sullivan who coached at Monsignor Farrell, started the programs at St. Peter's Boys and Moore Catholic. Sullivan played for his father at St. Peter's in the late 90's where he was an All League Safety his senior year. Coach went on to play in college at Catholic University. Sullivan spent five years coaching with his father at Mckee/Staten Island Tech before making the switch to coach at Port Richmond in 2015 as the Defensive Coordinator. Coach Sullivan currently is a 5th grade special education teacher.

Rich Barisciano

Coach Barisciano is a 2009 graduate of Port Richmond. As a player for the Raiders under Coach Vesce, Rich Barisciano was a big key to the 2008 championship team, earning Advance All-Star honors as a member of the offensive line. Coach was also a two sport athlete for the Raiders playing baseball as a first basemen. The PR great started coaching for the program in 2015 on the varsity level, where currently is both an offensive line and linebacker coach. Coach also spends time coaching the youth at the Staten Island Boys league for several seasons. Coach Barisciano currently works in the DOE as a paraprofessional.

Robert Schroeder

Coach Schroeder is a Port Richmond graduate of 2010. A three year varsity football player, playing role on the undefeated 2008 PSAL Championship team as a starting Outside Backer. As a senior in 09 he was a two way player, the leading threat out of the backfield for the Raiders. Schroeder briefly spent his time playing college football at SUNY Morrisville. Coach started his coaching career back with Port Richmond in 2015, as a junior varsity defensive coordinator until 2018. In 2019 Schroeder joined the varsity staff as a wide receiver and linebacker coach. The Port Richmond native also volunteer coaches at Staten Island Boys youth football league.

Daniel Rozenfeld

Coach Rozenfeld is a graduate of Port Richmond in 2009. Where shortly after found his path in the coaching profession. "Coach Dan" who was a two sport athlete in high school started his coaching career with the sport of lacrosse for the 2011 spring season at St. Joseph by the Sea. In that year as a JV assistant, brought the programs first CHSAA lacrosse championship at any level to the program. The next two years coach was the Junior Varsity Head Coach. In 2016 at Curtis High School as the varsity defensive assistant, was part of a team that won a PSAL City Championship. Transitioning to football, coach started coaching football with Curtis at the junior varsity level helping the Warriors win a Staten Island championship in 2017. Since joining Port Richmond's staff in 2019, Coach Rozenfeld is the defensive coordinator on the junior varsity level, as well as currently the off-season strength coach. Coach also manages the programs social media accounts, as well as assists with the recruiting process for our student athletes. Coach Dan currently works in the building as a full time substitute teacher.
