Take the Port Macquarie Coastal Walk - a 9.1 km (2 hr) trail following the coast between Westport Park, near the town center, and Tacking Point Lighthouse. The walk passes
If you don't fancy the Coastal Walk the Tacking Point Lighthouse can be accessed by the stairs from Lighthouse Beach or there is limited parking around the lighthouse, although parking is limited.
After taking in the lighthouse you might like to join a camel safari for a 30-minute ride along Lighthouse Beach. Details available at: the Port Macquarie Camels website.
If you prefer bushwalking,you can take a stroll along the Rainforest Boardwalk in Sea Acres National Park, which is easy 1.3-kilometer circuit through the reserve which runs from the Visitors Centre. There are a few guided tours during the day or you can do a self guided tour.
Whale-watching tours allow you to watch humpbacks passing close to Port Macquarie on their migration from May to November each year.
Cruises dock a 100 metre stroll along the foreshore from the venue.
