Project Overview: Sauce & Spoon Tabletop Tablet Menu Pilot
Welcome to the project management portfolio page for the Tabletop Tablet Menu Pilot at Sauce & Spoon. This project is part of the Google Project Management Professional Course capstone and demonstrates my expertise in managing complex projects from inception to successful completion. Below is a detailed overview of the project, including the reasoning behind the selection of key deliverables showcased on this site.
Project Summary
The aim of this project was to pilot the rollout of tabletop tablet menus at two of Sauce & Spoon's five locations. This initiative sought to enhance service speed, optimize table turnover, and increase guest capacity. Furthermore, the implementation of these tablets provided a new avenue for data collection to help ensure the restaurant's ongoing success.
Misalignments and Decisions
During the project, several misalignments and decisions were identified and resolved, ensuring a focused and effective project rollout. Notably, decisions regarding order returns policies and staff satisfaction metrics were deferred to separate operational discussions to maintain the project's scope and focus.
Selected Deliverables
For this portfolio, I have chosen to showcase the following deliverables:
Project Charter: This document outlines the project's objectives, scope, deliverables, and benefits, providing a comprehensive overview of the project's foundation.
Project Plan: The detailed project plan includes timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies, illustrating the structured approach to project execution.
Evaluation Findings: Post-product launch evaluation findings highlight the project's success metrics, customer feedback, and areas for improvement, demonstrating the project's impact and outcomes.
Executive Summary: A concise summary that encapsulates the project's goals, achievements, and overall performance, providing a high-level view of the project's success.
Justification for Selected Deliverables
Throughout the project, a significant amount of information was shared through various channels such as conversations, emails, and survey data. However, it is impractical to integrate all this information into the portfolio page. Therefore, I have chosen to present these specific deliverables because they collectively provide a thorough yet concise representation of the project's lifecycle:
The Project Charter sets the stage, detailing the project's rationale and strategic goals.
The Project Plan offers insights into the planning and execution phases, highlighting the structured approach taken.
The Evaluation Findings showcase the tangible results and feedback post-launch, which are critical in assessing the project's impact.
The Executive Summary distills the essence of the project, making it accessible to stakeholders who need a quick but comprehensive understanding of the project's outcomes.
These documents collectively provide a clear, well-rounded view of the project's journey, from conception to completion, while ensuring that sensitive or excessive information is not disclosed.
Thank you for exploring this portfolio. These deliverables not only highlight the project's success but also reflect my capabilities in project management, strategic planning, and effective execution.
