SEKALA is an interior design project that reimagines healing beyond the clinical into something human, sensorial, and soulful. It is a response to the urgent need for restorative environments in fast-paced urban societies, where physical and emotional exhaustion have become part of everyday life. My design approach draws from the philosophy of Sekala and Niskala it is a Balinese worldview that embraces both the visible (body, form, function) and the invisible (mind, emotion, energy). This became the guiding narrative in shaping every element of the space. The goal was to design a sanctuary where individuals can reconnect with their inner selves, recover through movement, rest in silence, and feel supported by space itself.

Rooted in Balinese philosophy, Sekala represents everything tangible. What we can see, touch, and move through. Meanwhile, Niskala speaks of the unseen emotions, energy, intuition, and spiritual presence. Together, they form a holistic experience where architecture becomes a bridge between the physical and the metaphysical.

This design concept visualizes the human being as a central force surrounded by intersecting layers of awareness, perception, and healing energy. The visible structure supports the body; the invisible atmosphere nurtures the soul.

SUSTAINABLE CREATIVE HUB
In this studio project, I designed an outdoor café, indoor desk space, and other areas, with a focus on a design inspired by the traditional "sampi gerumbungan" from Buleleng. The design elements were influenced by the shape and colors of the head accessories used in "sampi gerumbungan," which I then combined with a post-modern style. The result is a design that emphasizes the use of sustainable materials, such as reclaimed wood and other eco-friendly resources. In alignment with campus design rules, offering design suggestions, elaborate illustrations, and immersive 3D representations.

The culture and traditions of Gerumbungan cattle in Buleleng
This ancestral heritage attraction began with the farmers' expression of joy because of the abundant harvest. The word "gerumbungan" means a large bell, and these bells are hung around the necks of cows. Not all cattle can participate in the Gerumbungan Cow competition; only bulls are selected from the most robustly built. The bulls are selected by livestock groups based on various criteria. They prepare young bulls for the Gerumbungan Cow performance. These bulls must perform with uniform gaits, their tails curled and their heads held high. This is certainly different from the Makepung tradition in Indonesia, where buffalo are raced to achieve the fastest results. A pair of bulls competes in the competition. After each bull has a large bell (gerumbungan) attached to its neck, along with all its accessories, the two bulls are then tied to a wooden pole called an uga. A three-meter-long pole is attached to the center of the uga, with a jockey standing at the back end to control the bull. The jockey must also be neatly and attractively dressed. This large bell, often called the keroncongan, makes a distinctive sound when the cow runs (Disbud, 2018).
This chair draws inspiration from traditional salt containers, a cherished heritage of salt farmers in Buleleng. The design, which I will describe below, incorporates the unique form of these traditional vessels.

This collection features various 3D visualizations created during my time as a self-employed artist. Utilizing D5 Render, I strive for maximum realism by meticulously blending textures. balancing rough and smooth materials and integrating lifelike natural environments, such as lush greenery and mountainscapes.
The Mountain Sanctuary Bath it is a masterclass in "bringing the outdoors in," this visualization features an open-concept bathroom that merges luxury with a rugged mountain landscape. Utilizing D5 Render, I focused on the organic interplay between tropical greenery and the distant, realistic mountain range. The sharp afternoon sunlight creates dynamic shadows on the timber decking, emphasizing the "slow living" aesthetic of a private villa.
Warm Textures & Morning Light it is a study in material harmony, this bedroom visualization focuses on the contrast between the intricate wood mosaic headboard and soft, natural linen. The scene highlights the interplay of morning sunlight filtering through sheer curtains, emphasizing the tactile quality of the wood and the organic shapes of the custom decor.
A cinematic rendering project inspired by the art of film. This series explores high-fidelity visualization using D5 Render and Photoshop, focusing on creating a sharp, realistic, and atmospheric retreat nestled in a dreamlike environment.
