01. Fundamentals of Agronomy (AGRO-102)

a brief of the course

Agronomy is an important branch of agriculture which associated with the different aspects of tillage, crop production, seed and sowing, irrigation and weed management, plant nutrition, dryland/rainfed agriculture, growth and development etc. 'Fundamentals of Agronomy' has been carefully designed to promote better understanding and encourage creativity and will meet the growing needs of agronomy of graduate and post graduate students at university level agricultural education.

course contents

In this course, we will try to give a brief overview of all the basic things related to Agronomy. It will commence with crop identification and sequentially, we will explore different implements used in crop production. Plant nutrition, an introduction to fertilizers, different weather implements, and their activities will be learned. We will also study the preparation of different graphs and charts with agronomic data that we will need in our later perception during the field research. The contents are as follows-
