Portfolio Scenario Lab is a simple Monte Carlo portfolio simulator for educational planning. It helps users explore possible investment growth, retirement withdrawals, inflation effects, simplified taxes, and long-term portfolio outcomes.

Common Support Topics

App not loading results

Make sure all required fields have valid numbers, then tap Run Simulation again.

Premium purchase not showing

Open the premium screen and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the purchase.

Ads still showing after purchase

Tap Restore Purchase. If ads still appear, close and reopen the app.

Simulation results look different each time

Monte Carlo simulations use random market scenarios, so results can change each time you run the simulation.

Information We Collect

Portfolio Scenario Lab does not require you to create an account.

The app may store simulation inputs and saved simulations locally on your device so you can reuse or review them later.

Examples of locally stored information may include:

- Starting portfolio value

- Contribution or withdrawal amount

- Expected annual CAGR

- Volatility

- Inflation assumption

- Tax settings

- Duration

- Scenario count

- Saved simulation names and results

This information is stored on your device and is not sent to the developer’s server.

In-App Purchases

Portfolio Scenario Lab may offer a lifetime premium unlock through Apple’s in-app purchase system.

Purchases are processed by Apple. Portfolio Scenario Lab does not collect or store your payment card information.

Advertising

The free version of Portfolio Scenario Lab may show banner ads.

Ads may be provided by third-party advertising networks such as Google AdMob. These networks may collect device identifiers, usage data, and other information according to their own privacy policies.

Users who purchase the lifetime premium unlock can remove ads from the app.

Analytics

Portfolio Scenario Lab may use basic app analytics or crash reporting to help improve app performance and reliability.
