Guitar Playing
Being well-rounded is very important to me. Over the years, I have spent hundreds of hours refining my musical abilities on both guitar and drums. I started playing drums at nine years of age and guitar at 14, and these instruments provide a creative outlet that I believe is critical for any well rounded adult. I have recently begun to hone my ability to improvise on the fly while playing guitar, a skill that I have wanted to practice since picking up guitar.
Weightlifting
My other main hobby is weightlifting. Beyond the physical benefits, weightlifting has become a way for me to manage stress, maintain mental clarity, and build resilience. It reinforces the idea that growth is often uncomfortable but necessary. The process of pushing past perceived limits, recovering, and improving has shaped how I approach challenges in other areas of my life, including school, work, and personal relationships. Like music, it provides balance and helps me stay grounded while continuing to grow.
Both hobbies have taught me the value of a long-term mindset, pushing past errors, incremental progress and that the only true failure is giving up.
