  • Unlike other breast cancer types, TNBC lacks the hormonal receptors (estrogen, progesterone, and HER2) that many treatments target. This means fewer treatment options, and the existing treatments are often less effective.

  • Women with TNBC are often subjected to harsher chemotherapy regimens with significant side effects, knowing the options are limited if the cancer returns.

  • The chemotherapy and radiation required for TNBC can cause debilitating side effects such as extreme fatigue, nausea, hair loss, and neuropathy.

  •  These treatments take a heavy toll on the body, often leading to long-term health issues. Women endure immense physical pain and discomfort daily, battling the treatment's side effects as well as the disease itself.

  • Women with TNBC often face overwhelming medical bills, compounded by potential loss of income if they are unable to work during treatment. The financial stress adds another layer of hardship, making it difficult to focus solely on recovery.

  • The journey of a woman with triple negative breast cancer is one of immense courage and resilience.
