If you are a Porsche enthusiast or know someone who is, then this blog post is for you! We will be discussing 11 tips that we think all Porsche enthusiasts should follow to make sure they get the most out of their ownership. These tips can help with everything from how to maintain your car’s condition, to what type of driving shoes work best for those long drives.

Many people are familiar with the Porsche 911. The iconic sports car is a symbol of wealth and success, as well as an instrument of engineering excellence. With its distinctive shape, it is instantly recognizable to enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike.

But did you know that there are many different versions? In this article, we’re going to explore some of the classic models and what makes them unique in order to help you decide which one may be right for your needs.

Purchasing a Porsche is an exciting and life-changing event. However, before you make the purchase you should put some thought into what type of car will suit your needs best. The following are 8 things to consider when purchasing a Porsche:

If you have been looking for a great investment, then you might want to consider buying a Porsche. Porsches are an expensive car, but they will not depreciate in value as much as other cars will.

This means that when the time comes to sell your Porsche, it is still going to be worth more than what you paid for it! There are many reasons why owning a Porsche would make a great investment and this article discusses 5 of them.

The world of automobiles is always changing, and the Porsche 911 has evolved with it. The model that first came out in 1963 was a completely different animal than the models today. In fact, there are so many differences that you could say each one had its own personality. But no matter how much they evolve, Porsches still need to be maintained regularly for optimal performance and safety. Here we will discuss some tips for effective regular maintenance and overhauls on your Porsche to help keep it looking shiny new!

The efficiency of your Porsche 911 is heavily dependent on how well you adhere to its maintenance schedule. The vehicle’s mileage is the North Star telling what repairs to cater to. At 7500 miles, minor repairs, including an oil change and tire rotation, are necessary. You also need a certified mechanic to check your brakes, hoses, seat belts, and the presence of leaks.

Whether you store your Porsche in a safe space in the wintertime or enjoy it year-round there are some things that need to be covered when springtime approaches. Springtime brings lots of new adventures for you and your Porsche so you need to make sure that the car is in good running condition so you can enjoy it for many springs to come.

Through the years, and at least seven generations, the Porsche 911 has been a beautiful and powerful sports car, adapted to its times, experiencing changes in technology while still maintaining its basic concept of elegant style and freedom. As always, we can expect more changes coming in the future, possibly including hybrid versions.

Knowing the history of your Porsche 911 car can increase your appreciation for it -if that’s even possible- and make you feel proud of being the owner of a super-efficient German sports car with a big personality.

Here’s a quick history lesson about this masterpiece.

We all agree that a Porsche is a finely built, quality high performance sports car. While your engine may purr and your seats and suspension may provide the comfortable ride Porsche is known for, those are not the most important parts of your car. What is?

Ok, Polly, you have convinced me to bite the bullet and pay to have the car hauled. While this is a better idea in most cases if you cannot drive your new acquisition home, there are still some things to consider. First, if you have purchased your pre-owned vehicle from an off-lot (not Porsche) dealership, or even on-lot, those guys have access to car haulers, often enclosed for sports car companies, that they know are licensed, bonded, insured, and reputable. They usually also get way better rates than you can negotiate for most hauls. Talk to them first. If, however, you have purchased from a private party, you probably will have to end up finding and negotiating a car hauler on your own.

There are options for getting your newly acquired Porsche home, each with their advantages and sticky points. It is worth some thought and putting a pencil to paper to see not only what the best way of getting your baby home is for you, but for your new ride.

Kind of like having kids or pets, your 911 requires regular care and maintenance. Nothing is sadder to Polly Porschette than a sad, dirty, obviously not running right 911. It makes me cringe, cry, or both. It is true that Porsches are not cheap to fix, or even that cheap to maintain, but I promise you that if you do take care of yours, you will find it is one of the most reliable cars built and has had that reputation for decades.

Sigh. How many of you have friends or worse, significant others (I mean, they might get to ride in it, right?) that struggle to say the name of your passion? You might get Porch, or Porchey, or Porcha, and once in a while, “Porsh”. Porsche is a German word that means “offering” and is actually a two-syllable word. Expecting German parents often choose the name Porsche for a baby when they want a gender-neutral name, or one not traditional.

It is really interesting to watch people when you drive by in your Porsche, or are pulled up to a stoplight with some hot to trot American “muscle” car rumbling gas out their tailpipe. Polly never understands why they do that, rev up and all, when all I have to do it step on my gas the way I normally drive (well, I do admit, I do like that little grab and not quite squeal…) from the light. For heaven’s sake, what is that Mustang trying to prove, anyhow?

So, my fellow Porsche and specifically 911 drooling enthusiasts, just what is in a name? Have you ever wondered how that spiffy little bullet of class came to get named 911? Well, first, I can tell you it was long before there were any sad attachments to the 911 designation and has nothing to do with 9-1-1, though you might need emergency help if you do not strap in and hang on in this zippy little ball of fun.
