I am an Associate Research Scientist “C” at the Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas (CIMAT), Mérida, working with José María Cantarero.
My research lies at the intersection of geometric group theory, algebraic topology, and low-dimensional topology. I am particularly interested in classifying spaces for families, mapping class groups, and groups arising from manifolds.
I also hold an adjunct faculty position at the Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad Autónoma Benito Juárez de Oaxaca (UABJO), and I am a Candidate-level member of Mexico’s SNII.
Previously, I was a DGAPA–UNAM Postdoctoral Fellow at the Instituto de Matemáticas, UNAM, Unidad Oaxaca, working with Rita Jiménez Rolland.
