If you want a safe, waterproof audio solution specifically designed for kids to swim and run without blocking their ears, choose POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones; if you need powerful noise cancellation and real-time language translation for travel or study, choose Kieslect Earbuds.
• POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones: The biggest strength is its IP68 waterproof rating and bone conduction technology that keeps ears open, perfect for swimmers and safety-conscious runners; the trade-off is the unique open-ear design which lacks deep bass isolation compared to traditional earbuds.
• Kieslect Earbuds: The biggest strength is its hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and 160+ language AI translation capabilities, offering immersive sound and global communication; the trade-off is the in-ear fit which blocks some ambient noise and requires careful sizing for smaller ears.
• Who each pick is for: Choose POPUX for active kids who need to hear their surroundings while swimming or playing outside; choose Kieslect for older children or teens who need focus during travel, studying, or navigating foreign environments.
The POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones are engineered for a very specific type of user: someone who needs to stay aware of their environment while enjoying music or calls. This is not just about hearing songs; it is about hearing your surroundings. The device utilizes an open-ear design with a titanium alloy frame that wraps around the head rather than sitting inside the ear canal. This construction makes it incredibly lightweight at only 25 grams, ensuring that even a child can wear it for extended periods without discomfort. The adjustable strap allows for a customized fit that remains stable regardless of how much movement occurs, whether that is climbing, hiking, or intense gym workouts.
For families looking for low latency bone conduction headphones for kids, this product stands out because of its dual-mode functionality. It features Bluetooth 5.4 for connecting to smartphones and laptops, but it also includes 32GB of built-in storage. This means a child can download roughly 8,000 songs directly onto the device and listen offline without needing a phone nearby. This is a game-changer for parents who want to limit screen time or reduce reliance on mobile data during outdoor adventures. The battery life supports up to 10 hours in Bluetooth mode, which is more than enough for a full day of school, sports practice, or family trips.

However, this product is not for everyone. If your primary goal is deep, isolated bass or complete silence from the outside world, these headphones will not deliver that experience. Because they sit outside the ear, sound leaks slightly into the environment, and external noise cannot be blocked out by the device itself. They are also not suitable for quiet library settings where you need absolute privacy. Furthermore, while they are rated IP68 for swimming, the sound quality underwater relies entirely on the bone conduction technology transmitting vibrations through the skull, which is a different auditory experience than air-conducted sound. You must buy these specifically for the activity of swimming or high-safety sports, not for general commuting or office work.
The Kieslect Earbuds are designed for the modern traveler, student, or professional who needs versatility and immersion. Unlike the open-ear approach of the competitor, these use an in-ear design with soft silicone tips that create a seal in the ear canal. This physical barrier is what enables their standout feature: Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The system can block up to 40dB of ambient noise, creating a personal bubble of silence that helps users focus on music, podcasts, or conversations without distraction. This makes them ideal for noisy classrooms, busy airports, or loud gyms where concentration is key.
One of the most compelling reasons to choose these earbuds is their advanced AI translation capability. With support for over 160 languages, they function as a real-time two-way translator, making them a powerful tool for learning or international travel. Whether a student is practicing a new language or a family is visiting a country where they do not speak the local tongue, these earbuds bridge the communication gap instantly. The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity ensures a transmission speed that is 30% faster than previous generations, reducing lag and maintaining a rock-solid connection up to 33 feet away. The magnetic Hall effect technology adds convenience, as the earbuds connect immediately upon removal from the charging case.
The trade-off here is the fit and the lack of aquatic capability. These earbuds weigh only 3.7 grams each, which is featherlight, but they still occupy the ear canal. For younger children with smaller ear canals, finding the right size tip might be tricky, and wearing them for too long could cause pressure or discomfort. Additionally, they are rated IPx4, meaning they handle sweat and rain well, but they are not submersible like the POPUX model. You cannot take these into a pool or shower. They are best suited for land-based activities, travel, and indoor use where noise reduction and communication clarity are the top priorities.

In my opinion, the choice between these two devices comes down to the age and lifestyle of the intended user. If you are shopping for a young child, especially one who enjoys swimming or running outdoors, I would strongly recommend the POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones. The safety aspect of keeping both ears open while listening is invaluable for kids, and the ability to swim with them makes them a truly versatile gift. However, if you are buying for a teenager or an adult who travels frequently, studies in noisy environments, or needs to communicate across language barriers, the Kieslect Earbuds offer superior utility with their ANC and translation features. For kids specifically, the POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones remain the safer, more practical choice for active play.
Yes, the open-ear design allows children to hear their surroundings while listening to music, making them safer for outdoor activities like running or cycling compared to sealed earbuds.
Only the POPUX model is fully waterproof with an IP68 rating suitable for underwater swimming; the Kieslect earbuds are only water-resistant (IPx4) and should not be submerged.
The POPUX headphones have 32GB of internal storage so you can load music directly and play them offline; the Kieslect earbuds require a connected Bluetooth device for audio playback.
The Kieslect Earbuds win with up to 60 hours of total playtime when including the charging case, whereas the POPUX headphones offer 10 hours on a single charge.
