PopShield is a Chrome browser extension that helps users prevent unwanted popups, redirects, and automatically opened tabs while browsing the web.
Your privacy is important to us. PopShield is designed to operate locally on your device and to collect as little information as possible.
To provide its functionality, PopShield may access:
Website URLs and navigation events.
Tab information necessary to detect and manage unwanted tabs.
Popup and redirect activity generated by websites.

PopShield stores user settings, preferences, whitelist rules, and blacklist rules locally using Chrome's storage APIs.
This information remains on the user's device and is used only to operate the extension.

PopShield does not use collected information for advertising, profiling, marketing, credit evaluation, lending decisions, employment decisions, insurance decisions, or any unrelated purpose.
PopShield does not require users to create accounts and does not rely on third-party analytics services for tracking user behavior.

Reasonable measures are taken to protect the information processed by the extension. Because data is primarily stored and processed locally, exposure of user information is minimized.
PopShield is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
