Popular Science Club for NeuroBehavioral Insights, Translation, and Service
We aim to translate insights from cognitive science into actionable solutions that promote cleaner, safer, and more efficient environments within and beyond our campus
Where Diverse minds Converge
Backgrounds Collide
Our club brings together students, researchers, and professionals from a wide range of disciplines. This diversity drives innovative thinking.
Shared Vision
United by a passion for applying behavioral insights to societal problems, our members collaborate to develop practical, real-world solutions to behavioral problems.
Paan spitting within campus
Paan spitting not only creates a visually unappealing environment but also poses health risks
Lane Skipping
Lane skipping, contributes to traffic congestion and increases the risk of accidents
We follow a S-->R (Stimulus to Response) framework for assessing the problem and finding solutions using principles of behavioral science.
This framework helps us by not preventing the initial stimulus (the urge to spit, heavy traffic congestion). Instead, it attaches a negative consequence to the response (the act of spitting, impulsive lane switching), potentially reducing its occurrence in the future.
Cameras monitor spitting behaviour in designated areas, encouraging habit formation and sustained change
We have developed an initial prototype of spittoon, and modifying it for installation in the MT area of campus.
After several brainstorming sessions, we have provided recommentations to the head of security for more safer commute in the campus.
