Board Roles and Responsibilities

The PTSA Board has a great time teaming up to support our community. Each month, we gather at someone's house, and spend about 1.5 hours sharing food and laughs, and planning ways to support our school. Kids are always welcome.

We have several open board positions for 2024-25 and would love your energy and ideas. It's a creative and collaborative opportunity that has a big impact on our PB community (and also looks great on a resume!).

Each spring, we recruit potential candidates for the positions for the upcoming school year.

A high-level description of the responsibilities of each of the board roles is included below:

Frequently asked questions about serving as a PTSA board member

Who can serve?

Parents, grandparents, guardian, teachers, staff, and members of the community who are members of the PB PTSA can serve as a board member. These positions do not require any previous board or PTSA experience.

What are the basic job responsibilities of board members?

All positions last one year (with the hope that you consider returning in the role [except for President, who first serves for two years]). The maximum number of consecutive terms for all roles other than President is three terms per our current bylaws.

Have questions, comments, or suggestions? Is there something new or different you’d like to see the PTSA do this year? Want to get involved?  We'd love to hear from you!
