Do you think a pastor's smoking is a sin? My pastor smokes and I went to him in love; sharing with him that his smoking hurts his testimony as a believer. He preaches on bondage yet he smokes a pack or more a day. He has preached many things in the pulpit that were not true. He said that Peter in Acts was talking to the priests and not the outside world when saying repent and be baptized. He does not stress baptism, even though it being in the Baptist bylaws of this church. What hurts me is he told me he was not sure Jesus did not smoke. That really bothered me and still does. I'm the choir director and piano player - I even teach Sunday school. I feel God is using me to stand up for the truth in the church. But I know the Bible says don't sit under false teaching. Several people from my church tell me they thank God for sending me there. Can you please give me counsel on this. I don't know what to do.

Whether something is right or wrong does not depend on whether the person is a religious leader or not. God doesn't give different rules for the leaders of a congregation than the rest of the flock. Leaders do have more responsibilities, and you are correct that they must be concerned about setting a proper example, but that example is what is expected of everyone.

Though the Baptist denomination has roots in advocating baptism, the majority of the various Baptist groups have been teaching that it isn't necessary for almost a hundred years now. But that is the nature of sin; it constantly creeps further from the truth. Instead of discussing what is in a church's bylaws, I would encourage you to start discussing what is in Christ's covenant -- the New Testament. Bylaws are man-made documents and are full of flaws. The New Testament is the inspired Word of God. There is no comparison between the two.

Let me recommend two articles: "Why are there different denominations?" and "Denominationalism is Unnecessary." I suspect that people find your presence refreshing because you have the drive to return to the truth, and it is like a breath of fresh air. Let me urge you not to go just partway, but turn back to the original teachings of Christ and his apostles. It won't make you popular with the religious leaders, but it will lead many back into Christ's fold.

Smoked Al Pastor Chicken wings are so good. Unlike when we adventured with cooking wings on fire, this is a much more drawn-out process. There is almost never a time that I would take wings on BBQ over wings on smoke.

Really all that matters is when you eat your chicken/pull it off the cooker, they are completely cooked through. Before removing from your kit, double check the internal temp with a thermometer. For perfectly cooked chicken, you should be in around 165F internal temp.

If you recall from the Al Pastor Ribs or the Cajun-style Chicken Quarters, if you are smoking different types of meat in the same, multi-rack smoker, always remember to keep these on lower racks than your pork, beef or veg.

This Al Pastor recipe is not authentic by any means, but mimics flavours nicely and uses ingredients you definitely have in your kitchen and works great when making smoked al pastor chicken wings at home!

Make up your own rub: Rub whatever you want! Add, substitute or subtract any ingredients you may also like to add. The above rub is a very basic rub and can easily be modified to whatever you have in the pantry! Salt is the only true must-have/non-optional component in the rub.

The second stage, the baking, can be done in either in the smoker or in the oven, but since the smoker is already preheated and on, I prefer smoker. Leave cooking in wrap for 2 hours. In a multi-rack smoker, the heaviest smoke will collect in the top racks, while the lower racks are closer to the element are will be marginally hotter. Since we want the most smoke in the first phase, place closest to top shelf as possible.

Scott: Tacos Al Pastor are the charismatic spiritual leader that all other tacos long to follow. They nourish the soul with their sweet, sweet pineapple and succulent strands of smoked pork and they remind us all that we are one people. Good timing on this one, Paula. Al Pastor is the taco we need right now.

The following method is unconventional, but the flavors are legit. Traditional al pastor is flavored with pure ground chiles, and so is ours (courtesy of F&S TACO Seasoning). To achieve a rich slow-cooked flavor, I rely on grill-roasted pork shoulder enriched with bacon. Just before serving, the pork is sliced up and crisped in a skillet.

Place the pork in a baking dish, scored-side up. Cut the bacon strips as needed to fit the roast and tuck them into the knife crevices. Pour the marinade over the pork and use your hands to evenly coat the entire surface of the meat. Cover the pork with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.

When the coals are glowing red and covered with a fine gray ash, place the pan of pork over indirect heat, close the grill, vent the grill for smoking, and cook for about 3 hours, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the roast reads 180F to 190F. Add additional coals as needed to maintain a steady temperature of 275F to 300F.

The following day, remove the pork from its container and slice the meat against the grain as thinly as possible (trimming all the meat from around the bone), and then cut the slices into 1 to 2-inch strips. Scrape off the fat and the juices and reserve both separately. Transfer the meat to a large cast iron skillet.

Prepare a charcoal grill for two-zone cooking and build a medium fire. Wipe the preheated grill grates with a lightly oiled paper towel. Using a grill brush, scrape the grill grates clean, then carefully wipe with a lightly oiled towel again. When the coals are glowing red and covered with a fine gray ash, place the skillet over direct heat and cook, stirring and rotating pan as needed, until the meat is deeply browned and crisp (you can also do this on the stovetop); remove from heat. Add any reserved juices and toss to combine.

Grill the pineapple spears over direct heat until deeply charred on both sides. Serve the meat and pineapple, with plenty of warm corn tortillas, cilantro, onion, lime wedges and your favorite green salsa or hot sauce.

I chose not to smoke the pork shoulder because I wanted the pure flavor of a charcoal fire. However, if you want to add smoke to the mix, place a disposable aluminum pan filled with 1 inch of warm water under the pork, and add a couple wood chunks to the fire as needed for a steady stream of smoke.

Of course, this comparative analysis between Celexa and smoking weed is faulty in several areas. Celexa is a legal, closely supervised drug. Weed is illegal in most every state in our nation and has unpredictable and often mental-impairing results.

Nevertheless, there is much more to this story. I receive many emails from people suffering extensive, debilitating pain who want to know if it is OK to smoke marijuana to help them find relief from pain and physical suffering.

Aspirin is a God-given plant which produces both positive and negative chemical affects in the human body. In the same way, we might say that marijuana, synthesized from the opium poppy, is also a God-given plant which produces both positive and negative chemical affects in the human body.

The key here is how each plant is used. Used improperly, aspirin can devastate the stomach lining and enhance bleeding. Used improperly, marijuana may cause one to lose self control when it is needed most and to damage the brain.
