PooPal — Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 17, 2026
PooPal is a humorous poop-tracking app. You can use it entirely offline — in that case, all data stays on your device and nothing is collected.
If you create an account (optional): signing in with Google links your app data to an account managed by Google Firebase. We then store: your account identifier and email address (used only for sign-in, never displayed), your chosen nickname, your optional gender setting, and your poop log entries (timestamps, durations, ratings, and location labels such as "Home" or "Work" — never GPS coordinates). This enables backup, parties with friends, and leaderboards.
What others can see: members of parties you join see your nickname and statistics. If your profile is set to non-public, you appear as "Anonymous Pooper" outside your parties. Anonymous world counters (e.g. total poops worldwide) contain no personal data.
What never leaves your phone: your private notes and your hourly wage setting.
Sharing: we never sell or share your data with third parties. Data is processed by Google Firebase as our service provider and stored in the EU.
Deletion: delete your account anytime in the app (Settings → Account & Cloud → Delete my account) or see [your delete page — link the Poopal-Delete page here]. Uninstalling the app deletes all local data.
