TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING POOLROOM.

1. ABOUT

PoolRoom is a mobile application for cue sports that includes live video streaming, scoreboard overlays, local video recording, sponsor overlays, shot clock, and optional remote device control.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using PoolRoom, you agree to these Terms & Legal Information in full.

If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. TERMS

2.1 Acceptance and Binding Agreement

By using PoolRoom, you enter into a legally binding agreement. If you do not accept these terms, you must uninstall and stop using the application immediately.

2.2 Eligibility

You represent that you are at least 18 years old, or you have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.

2.3 “AS IS” / No Warranties

PoolRoom is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without any warranties, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or reliability.

2.4 User Content and Conduct

You are solely responsible for any video, audio, text, images, overlays, sponsor materials, logos, names, and other content you create, upload, display, record, or stream using PoolRoom (“User Content”).

You agree not to use PoolRoom to:

• violate any law, regulation, or third-party right;

• infringe copyrights, trademarks, likeness rights, or privacy rights;

• stream or record individuals without proper notice and consent where required;

• distribute unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.

2.5 Consent and Legal Compliance

You are solely responsible for obtaining all consents and permissions required for recording and streaming (including participants, spectators, venue permissions, and any required licenses), and for complying with all applicable local and international laws.

2.6 Streaming Platforms and Third Parties

PoolRoom may connect to third-party platforms (e.g., Facebook, YouTube) through protocols or integrations. The developer does not control these services and is not responsible for:

• account restrictions, bans, strikes, takedowns, or demonetization;

• interruptions, outages, latency, or quality loss;

• changes to third-party terms, APIs, or policies.

2.7 Remote Control Feature

If you enable any remote-control feature, you are responsible for securing your devices and connections. You assume all risks of:

• unauthorized access;

• misconfiguration;

• interception over networks.

The developer disclaims all liability for misuse or unauthorized control.

2.8 Accuracy of Scoring / Match Disputes

PoolRoom is an assistance tool. You are responsible for verifying scores and match information. The developer is not liable for match disputes, tournament outcomes, referee decisions, or reputational or financial impacts resulting from incorrect inputs.

2.9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) PoolRoom, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

2.10 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the developer from and against any claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• your use of the app;

• your User Content;

• your violation of any law or third-party right;

• your breach of these terms.

2.11 Suspension, Changes, and Discontinuation

The developer may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any feature or the entire application at any time, with or without notice, and without liability.

2.12 Updates

These terms may be updated. Continued use of PoolRoom after updates means you accept the revised terms.

3. PRIVACY

PoolRoom does not sell personal user data.

We do not collect, process, or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or home addresses. All Pro version purchases are handled exclusively and securely by the Google Play Billing system.

To ensure Pro features work in environments without internet access, PoolRoom uses "Offline Verification."

When you purchase Pro, Google Play saves a secure digital receipt (Purchase Token) in your device's local cache. PoolRoom reads this local token to unlock features even when your device is in Airplane Mode or has no signal.

Depending on the features you use, PoolRoom may process camera input, microphone audio, local files, and network data strictly to provide app functionality (streaming, recording, overlays, remote control).

Third-party platforms you choose to stream to operate under their own privacy policies and terms. The developer does not control third-party data practices and is not responsible for them.

Security: no system is completely secure. You use PoolRoom at your own risk.

4. PERMISSIONS

PoolRoom may request the following permissions (depending on device/Android version and enabled features):

• Camera: capture video for preview, streaming, and recording;

• Microphone: capture audio for streaming/recording;

• Photos/Media/Files (Storage): save recordings and load overlays/assets;

• Internet / Network State: connect to streaming endpoints and enable remote control features.

Permissions are used only to support the app’s features you choose to use.

5. THIRD PARTY NOTICE

PoolRoom may include or rely on third-party components (for example: streaming libraries, rendering components, and Android camera frameworks). Such frameworks are provided under their own licenses.

PoolRoom is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any streaming platform (including Facebook or YouTube).

6. COPYRIGHT

All rights, title, and interest in PoolRoom (including its name, branding, UI/UX, overlays, and software) are owned by the developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, redistribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the app except as permitted by law or with explicit written permission.

You retain ownership of your User Content, but you are responsible for it.
