Hello fellow Meadierotes!
Thanks to everyone who came out to Rustic Leaf Brewery in Waterford Oct 23rd '21! There was the usual meads and ciders members brought to sample. Mark Smith shared his meads that he created for Rustic Leaf. A Bochet, Black currant with black berries and his cherry poppens tart mead which quickly sold out. They were all very good and many bottles were sold to go! Thx to all for that!
The next PMS meeting will be our 3rd anniversary meeting in December. Time and place TBD. Again thanks to everyone who came out! It was great to see everyone again, finally... Check menu for latest pix.

What's up every one!
PMS finally got back together August 7th for Triaxial Meadsmiths release party at 4th Coast Cider Works in Lake Orion. It was great to see everyone after sooo long... Michigan Mead Coalition was also there for Mead Day. Triaxial meads and cocktails were excellent as usual as many of us ordered meads to go! There were a lot of meads shared between Michigan Mead Coalition and PMS.

January 10th 2020 we held our 2nd anniversary bochet night. We brewed 10+ lbs of bochet over 3 fire pits. Varying the minutes and blending some batches. Thanks to Bill & Tina for hosting & feeding all of us. It was both foggy and smokey from the fire we used to boil the meads. See bochet day pix menu. We're looking to make Bochet day an annual event!

Our 1st anniversary meeting was held Dec 7th 2020 in Rochester. We sampled a 2008 ginger/peach melomel and a 25 year old Texas mesquite mead. Both held up very well. Also Mike Spears talked about the Michigan Mead Coalition. A group formed from some of the best mead makers in Michigan. Amy Olsen spoke about the AMMA. The American Mead Maker's Association. A nationwide group dedicated to all things mead. She is also on the home governing board of that group. See links for their website.com Thanks to Amy and Mike for stopping by our 1st anniversary meeting.
