This piece is a convoluted amalgamation of various materials (plastic, yarn, magazine cutouts, paints, old fabrics) that have been layered until the first layer is no longer detectable. I wanted to explore identity and the various personas that a person may take on through their life. Layer after layer, a person is composed of their experiences; making their starting point a distant, unrecognizable memory of the past. 

With complicated identities come complicated visuals.
