This policy applies to Ponder on both the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). It describes what the game collects, why, and what you can turn off.
Ponder has no accounts, no sign-in, no leaderboards, no chat and no user-generated content. Your progress is stored on your own device and is never uploaded to us.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or any other directly identifying information. Ponder collects the following, through the third-party services listed in section 6:
Analytics — GameAnalytics
Device and app information: device model, operating system version, language, country, app version, and a randomly generated identifier for the installation
Gameplay events: which level was started, completed, restarted or left; how long it took; how many hints were used
Advertising events: when an ad was requested, shown, completed or failed
Purchase events: which product was bought, the amount and currency
Crash and error reports
Advertising — Google AdMob
Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), where you have allowed it
Device and network information used to select and measure ads
Ad interactions: impressions, taps and completions
In-app purchases — Apple and Google
Purchases are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase completed and a receipt used to validate it. We never see your payment card, billing address or store account details.
Notifications
Ponder's reminders are local notifications, created and scheduled on your own device. Nothing about them is sent to us or to anyone else, and no push token is collected.
Game progress
Which levels you have completed, which hints you have revealed, and your sound, music, vibration and motion settings. This is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes it.
We use the information above to:
Understand how players move through the game, and where they get stuck
Find and fix bugs and crashes
Display advertising, and measure whether it worked
Deliver and restore your Remove Ads purchase
Decide what to build next
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build a profile of you outside this game.
Ponder does not require you to create an account, sign in, or connect a social profile. There is nothing to log into. Because your progress is stored only on your device, it does not transfer between devices and cannot be recovered by us if you delete the app.
Your Remove Ads purchase is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, not to us, and can be restored on a new device using Settings → Restore purchases.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Before any ad is requested, Ponder shows Google's consent form (UMP) asking what you allow. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
In regulated US states. The same Settings → Ad privacy choices control is shown, including the option to limit the sale or sharing of personal information where that right applies to you.
On iOS. Ponder asks for App Tracking Transparency permission before any ad is requested. If you decline, ads still appear but are not personalised. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
On Android. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising.
Notifications. Ponder asks for notification permission after you have played a few levels, never at first launch. You can refuse, and you can turn reminders off later in your device settings.
Removing ads entirely. The Remove Ads purchase stops interstitial and banner advertising. Rewarded videos remain available because they are optional and pay out a hint, and hints become free for you either way.
Ponder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game is configured so that advertising is not treated as child-directed and is limited to a general audience content rating.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact support@technicgames.com and we will delete what we can.

Ponder does not use Game Center, Google Play Games, social sign-in, advertising networks other than AdMob, or any server operated by Technic Games.
Information sent to the services above is transmitted over encrypted connections. Your game progress is stored in your device's own application storage, protected by your device's operating system.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because Ponder holds no accounts and no directly identifying information, the consequences of a breach are correspondingly limited.
Game progress stays on your device until you reset it in Settings → Reset progress or delete the app.
Information held by the third-party services in section 6 is retained according to their own policies and retention periods. We do not operate a database of our own and therefore hold no copy of it.
The services listed in section 6 operate globally and may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, those providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.
We may update this policy as the game changes or as the law does. The effective date at the top will change when we do, and material changes will be reflected in the app's store listing. Please check back from time to time.
