Pomodoro is a Chrome extension for Pomodoro-based focus sessions and blocking websites selected by the user.
Pomodoro is designed to work without an account or cloud synchronization. Core extension data is stored locally in Chrome.
Pomodoro stores locally:
timer and interface settings;
domains you choose to block;
the current timer/session state;
focus statistics and daily history;
sound, notification, and reminder preferences.
This information is used only to provide the extension's functionality.
When you choose “Add current site”, Pomodoro accesses the URL of the active tab only to identify its domain and add it to your block list.
Pomodoro does not use page content for advertising, profiling, or selling data.
Pomodoro requests access only to websites that you choose to block.
This permission allows Chrome to apply blocking rules during focus sessions.
Website access is not used to read messages, form entries, passwords, cookies, or page content.
Pomodoro does not send your block list, focus history, timer settings, or other locally stored extension data to the developer's servers.
Pomodoro does not sell personal data to third parties and does not perform advertising profiling.
The extension does not include third-party advertising or external analytics.
Pomodoro uses Chrome permissions only for features provided by the extension:
storage — stores settings, timer state, block list, and statistics locally;
activeTab — identifies the current website when you choose to add it to the block list;
alarms — supports timer operation and scheduled extension events;
notifications — shows system notifications when a focus session or break ends;
offscreen — plays notification sounds locally;
declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess — applies website blocking rules during focus sessions;
optional website access — requested only for domains selected by the user for blocking.
The use of information received through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Information obtained through Chrome APIs is used only to provide the Pomodoro features described to the user.
Pomodoro does not create a cloud user profile or maintain a server-side copy of your Pomodoro history.
Extension data is stored locally in Chrome. The developer therefore does not maintain a remote user account containing your timer history, block list, or settings.
This Privacy Policy may be hosted using Google Sites. Visiting the public website may involve processing by Google according to Google's own privacy terms. This is separate from the data stored locally by the Pomodoro Chrome extension.
