Low-carbon Transportation

To reduce pollution in Hong Kong, PolyU encourage students to do the following:

• Ride a bike or walk as much as possible
• Take public transportation which produces less air pollution

Meanwhile, PolyU has considered for a sustainable development for facilitating the green transportation around the campus:

• Campus buildings can tap into the existing utilities and roads, and existing transportation systems, such as buses, shuttles, sidewalks, can continue delivering students to the campus
• Charging the cost of parking will discourage people from driving their private cars, which reducing traffic out of and through the campus
• Reserve more area for bikes parking
