The Articles of Association establish Polyhymnia's purpose as a nonprofit organization, and include a provisions that conform our activities to those required for an organization to be tax-exempt under the US tax code.
The Bylaws are the rules we have adopted to govern ourselves, and include further provisions to conform us to the requirements of the tax code. The bylaws govern the annual Meeting of members, the election and duties of the Board of Directors, and the appointment and duties of the principal Officers. The Bylaws may be amended by the members of the chorus (that's the singers). See Article IX.
The Membership Policy is a policy established by the Board under Article IV, section 3 of the Bylaws. It sets out conditions for remaining on active status, and sets dues. It may be amended by the Board.
The Conflict of Interest policy defines and prohibits financial conflicts of interest for the Officers and Board of Directors.
