PRIVACY POLICY — VIRALO

This Privacy Policy explains how Viralo collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our mobile app. If you have questions or do not agree with our practices, please do not use the app. For any question, contact us at getviraloapp@gmail.com.
Our database and servers are hosted in the European Union (Supabase, eu-west-1 region).
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide:
- Email address (for sign-in with Google or Apple) and, if you allow it, your name.
- Onboarding answers (the type of content you create, the platforms you use, how often you post, and how you found us).
- The videos and images you voluntarily upload for analysis.
- The links you paste, or that you share to the app from TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, in order to analyze them.
- The public username you enter if you use the account/profile analysis feature.
Payment data:
Payments are processed through Apple and RevenueCat. We do not store credit card information.
We do NOT collect:
- Sensitive information (health, race, religion, sexual orientation, biometric data).
- Precise GPS location.
- Third-party data.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Automatic technical information:
- App usage data (screens viewed, features used) via PostHog (hosted in the EU), to understand how the app is used and improve it.
- Performance and crash data via Sentry (hosted in Germany); we remove personal identifiers (email, username, IP) before the report is sent.
- A notification token if you enable notifications, so we can send them to you.
- Your referral code and which accounts referred whom, if you use referrals.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- To create and manage your account.
- To analyze your videos and images with artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to give you virality scores, estimated metrics and personalized recommendations.
- When you analyze by link, to retrieve the video through third-party download services so it can be analyzed.
- When you use profile analysis, to fetch the public information of that account.
- To save your analysis history so you can review it later.
- To improve the app through usage analysis and to prevent fraud and security issues.
- To send you important administrative information and respond to your inquiries.
By tapping "Analyze", you accept that your content is processed by Google Gemini to generate the analysis. We do not use your videos to train AI models or for advertising. We do not make automated decisions that significantly affect you.
3. GALLERY ACCESS AND SHARED CONTENT
So that you can analyze your content, Viralo needs:
- Gallery: to select the videos or images stored on your device.
- Shared content: when you share a video or link to Viralo from another app (for example TikTok), the app receives that content in order to analyze it.
You can change these permissions in your device settings at any time.
4. WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH
We do not sell or share your data for marketing. We only share the information necessary with these providers, all under data-processing agreements:
- Supabase — Database, authentication and history — European Union (eu-west-1).
- Google (Gemini) — AI analysis of your content — Google infrastructure.
- Apple / Google — Sign-in and (Apple) payments.
- RevenueCat — Subscription management — USA.
- PostHog — Product analytics — European Union.
- Sentry — Crash diagnostics — Germany (EU).
- Video download services — Retrieving videos from the links you paste — Third parties.
5. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING YOUR INFORMATION
- Performance of the service (contract): account, analysis, subscriptions.
- Legitimate interests: improving the app, preventing fraud, crash diagnostics.
- Consent: when you grant permissions (for example, notifications).
- Legal obligations: when the law requires it.
6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your main data is hosted in the European Union (Supabase eu-west-1, PostHog EU, Sentry in Germany). Some providers (RevenueCat, Google) may process data outside the EU. If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland, we apply the measures required to protect your information under applicable law.
7. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We keep your information while you have an active account or while it is necessary for the purposes described. When you delete your account, we delete your information. We may retain some data in backups for up to 30 days to prevent fraud or comply with the law; after that it is permanently deleted.
8. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures. Data is transmitted encrypted; your session is stored in the device's secure encrypted store (Keychain/Keystore); and on our servers each user can only access their own data (row-level security). Still, no system is 100% secure; only use the app from trusted environments.
9. CHILDREN
Viralo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we detect an account belonging to a child under 13, we will disable it and delete their data. If you believe we have collected a child's data, email getviraloapp@gmail.com.
10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your location (EU, UK, Switzerland, Canada, US states) you may: access, correct, delete, withdraw consent, object to processing, and not be subject to automated decisions.
How to exercise them: to delete your account and all your data, go to Settings and then Delete account, or email getviraloapp@gmail.com.
11. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We use tools to keep your account secure, prevent bugs (Sentry), understand usage (PostHog) and save your preferences (language, settings). We do not use cookies for targeted advertising and we do not sell your information.
12. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
13. HOW TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT AND DATA
You can delete your account and all your data from the app at any time:
1. Open Viralo.
2. Go to Settings (gear icon on the main screen).
3. Tap "Delete account" and confirm, or email getviraloapp@gmail.com.
This permanently deletes: your account, your analysis history, your saved scores and recommendations, your preferences, your referral code and all associated information. This action is IRREVERSIBLE. If you only want to pause using the app, sign out in Settings and then Sign out.
