Syllabus
Below you can find the complete syllabus and a grading sheet that goes with the course. Topics and readings in the syllabus are aimed at students of languages and cultures, but they can be customized to your students' or program's needs.


From a pedagogical standpoint, the seminar follows Bloom's taxonomy and constructive alignment principles. It also builds up on the scholarship about the teaching effectiveness of simulations (Asal and Blake 2006; Shellmann and Turan 2006), as well as popular culture (Jester 2020).
