Expense Diary ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles user information.

1. Information We Collect

Expense Diary does not collect, store, transmit, or share personal financial data on our own servers.

The app allows users to manually enter and manage:

• Income records
• Expense records
• Borrow/Lend ledger records
• Personal finance records
• Business finance records
• Loan and EMI information
• To-do tasks and diary entries
• Reminder schedules
• Language preferences
• Backup files
• PDF reports generated from user data

All information entered into the app is stored locally on the user's device unless the user chooses to create a backup using supported backup options.

We do not have access to the content of user-entered financial records.

2. How We Use Information

All data entered into the app is used only to provide app functionality, including:

• Tracking income and expenses
• Managing personal finances
• Managing business finances
• Maintaining separate Personal Mode and Business Mode records
• Managing borrow and lend ledger entries
• Calculating balances and financial summaries
• Managing loan and EMI information
• Generating automatic EMI expense entries
• Managing tasks, notes, and diary entries
• Scheduling reminder notifications
• Generating PDF reports
• Sharing PDF reports when requested by the user
• Creating and restoring backups
• Saving language preferences
• Supporting undo and recovery actions

We do not process or analyze user financial data on external servers.

3. Personal Mode and Business Mode

Expense Diary provides separate Personal Mode and Business Mode features.

Data entered in each mode is stored locally on the device and is used solely for providing financial management functionality within the application.

We do not access, monitor, or share information stored in either mode.

4. Borrow & Lend Ledger

Expense Diary includes a Borrow & Lend Ledger feature that allows users to maintain records of money borrowed from or lent to others.

These records are stored locally on the user's device and are not transmitted to our servers.

Users are solely responsible for the information they enter into ledger records.

5. Google Drive Backup

Expense Diary may allow users to create backups using their Google Drive account.

• Google Drive backups are initiated only by the user.
• Backup files are stored in the user's own Google Drive account.
• We do not access, view, collect, or store the contents of backup files.
• Access to Google Drive is used only for backup and restore functionality requested by the user.
• Data stored in Google Drive is subject to Google's privacy policies and security practices.

6. Data Storage and Security

• User data is primarily stored locally on the device.
• We do not maintain servers for storing user financial records.
• We do not have access to user-entered data.
• Backup files are created only when initiated by the user.
• Users are responsible for protecting their device, Google account, backup files, and exported documents.

7. PDF Reports and File Sharing

Expense Diary allows users to generate PDF reports from their records, including Personal Mode, Business Mode, income, expense, loan, EMI, and borrow/lend ledger data.

• PDF reports are generated locally on the device.
• PDF files are not uploaded to our servers.
• Users may save, print, export, or share PDF reports using applications available on their device.
• We do not receive, access, monitor, or store the contents of PDF reports.

8. Reminder Notifications

Expense Diary may generate reminder notifications for:

• Tasks and to-do items
• Diary reminders
• Loan reminders
• EMI reminders
• Borrow/Lend payment reminders
• Other schedules created by the user

All notifications are generated locally on the device and do not require external servers.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, share, transfer, or disclose user data to third parties.

All information remains under the user's control unless the user manually exports, backs up, or shares files.

10. Internet Access and Permissions

Expense Diary may request limited permissions required for app functionality, including:

• Notification permission for reminders and alerts
• File and storage access for backup, restore, PDF generation, saving, and sharing
• Google account access for Google Drive backup and restore features
• Internet access required for Google Drive backup and restore operations

These permissions are used solely to provide requested app features.

11. Third-Party Services

Expense Diary does not use third-party advertising networks or analytics services to collect financial data.

The app may interact with:

• Google Drive (for user-initiated backup and restore)
• Google Play Services
• Android operating system services
• Device file sharing applications
• Device printing services

The privacy policies of these services may apply independently.

12. Multi-Language Support

Expense Diary may store the user's selected language preference locally on the device to provide a personalized experience.

13. Children's Privacy

Expense Diary is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

Since we do not collect personal financial information on our servers, the app is generally safe for users of all ages under appropriate supervision.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any future updates will be reflected in the latest version available through the app or associated store listing.
