4th Conference «New Advances in the Political Economy of Development in Eurasia»

Almaty Management University is honored to host the 4th Conference «New Advances in the Political Economy of Development in Eurasia», from June 4th to June 7th, 2026. The event brings together many international scholars from leading universities of Eurasian countries, Europe, and the US who will present their original research on topics related to the political economy of development in the Eurasian and post-Soviet context.
Contributions from political science, economics, political economy, sociology, public administration, and related social science disciplines are invited. We welcome submissions of theoretical, empirical, and multidisciplinary papers that offer valuable perspectives on recent developments and new challenges in the Eurasian region. Papers developing quantitative, experimental, or survey methodologies in application to economics and political science are also welcomed.

Submission. To participate in the conference, please submit below a full paper or an abstract of up to 250 words, together with a CV as a single PDF document, by February 22, 2026. Applicants will be informed about the selection by March 31st, 2026, and the authors of accepted proposals are expected to submit full papers by May 17th, 2026. Each paper will have discussions by senior researchers at the conference sessions.
This conference traditionally offers an open academic platform for global researchers on the Political Economy of Eastern Europe and the Eurasian Region. Participants without presentations can register for the event from April 1 to May 30, 2026. Participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses. There is no conference fee. Organizers will provide coffee breaks, access to local amenities, and a cultural program.
