I have stepped foot in many places during my travels for various projects.
Check out more information on some of my recent ones below.
Long name: Alaskan Layered Pollution and Chemical Analysis
Field dates: Jan - Feb 2022
Location: On the ground in Fairbanks, Alaska
Overarching goal: To address the following research questions: (1 What are the sources of INPs that facilitate formation of ice fog? (2 Is there an evolution in INP composition as the transition from clear to foggy conditions occurs? and (3 How do INPs modulate ice fog under given cooling scenarios?

Long name: ARCtic Study of Permafrost Ice Nucleation
Field dates: Sep 2021
Location: On the ground, ATV, and small boat near Utqiaġvik, Alaska
Overarching goal: To to address the following research questions: 1) What microbes are associated with the high levels of INPs in permafrost? 2)Are the INPs (and microbes) present in permafrost also found in lakes, rivers, coastal waters, and the ocean, and in air above these surfaces? and 3) Do these INPs have abundances and properties that might be expected to modulate cloud microphysics and radiative properties?

Long name: Atmospheric Rivers and the onseT of sea ice MELT
Field dates: May - Jun 2023
Location: On the Swedish icebreaker Oden in the Arctic Ocean north of Svalbard
Overarching goal: To assess the variability in sources and abundances of cloud-active aerosols under background and transport scenarios during Arctic melt onset.

Long name: Cloud and Aerosol Interactions over the Southern Ocean
Field dates: May 2023 - May 2025
Location: On the Australian vessels, RV Investigator and RSV Nuyina, in the Southern Ocean south of Tasmania and at Davis Station, Antarctica
Overarching goal: To characterize the role of natural aerosol in modulating the properties of clouds and precipitation over the Southern Ocean region through Australian ship- and Antarctic-based measurement campaigns.
Long name: Department of Energy Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (DOE ARM) Program INP mentor
Field dates: Aug 2020 to present
Location: On the ground and tethered balloon at multiple locations in the USA and Tasmania
Overarching goal: To provide a full, in-house service to help ARM obtain quality INP samples and data from multiple ARM observatory locations each year via routine ground-based and aerial sampling.
Long name: Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate
Field dates: Sep 2019 - Oct 2020
Location: On the German icebreaker Polarstern in the central Arctic Ocean
Overarching goal: To achieve unprecedented characterization of INP abundance and sources (including biological) to evaluate their capacity to modulate cloud ice formation over the central Arctic.

Long name: Antarctic Low Cloud Interaction with Natural Aerosol
Field dates: Sep 2025 - Mar 2027
Location: At Palmer Station, on the Antarctic Peninsula
Overarching goal: To gain new insights into the influence of aerosol properties on cloud microphysics and the surface energy budget in coastal Antarctica. Due to the pandemic, this study was pushed back 2 year!
