I bought the switch about a month and a half ago, the first pokemon game i picked up was legend of arceus as it was the most recommended game in the community so i was really excited to play it since i haven't played played any pokemon game since the release of pokemon omega ruby. However, after playing for some hours and completing the story i was lowkey disappointed.Don't get me wrong though, the game was very fun and " new " but something felt wrong ( it's just me ) so what i was looking for other pokemon games since i was not fully satisfied and i have noticed that almost EVERWHERE i go for pokemon game recommendations i see that Sw/Sh are the least recommended with most people hating on it ( the order is usually like this arceus >= violet/scarlet > let's goo eeve > sword/shield ).I was about to get the scarlet one but after seeing gameplay it looked a little bit laggy and i didn't like the legendaries artwork so i ended up getting pokemon shield, and i am so glad i did. The colors are amazing, i love the story/artworks/the starters everything is chefs kiss.I am about 6 hours in and i'm having the most fun i ever had ( i play botw simultaneously so double the fun xD ), moral of the story is : do not look up people tierlists/ratings on the internet lol just go for it ( watch the gameplay before though ).

Make sure you have all three swords in your party, then set up camp. Now you need to make a curry. After you make the curry, close up camp and look at the center of the island, where Keldeo should be.

A small issue with writing about the entire game in one Reddit post is that I'm about 15,000 characters above the 40,000 character limit. If you want to read the full uncut thing, I have a link to it in my blog: -long-review-of-pokemon-sword-and-its.html

I want to get it Pre-owned, it's $59 AUD for the cartridge. I also wanted to get Legends: Arceus but it's $20 more and I'm not sure if Sword Shield Is still a purchase in 2021, but I heard that Arceus has got distasteful reviews, should I stake a $20 more for Arceus or get sword and shield?

Like... i understand that sv is a more recent game & swsh doesn't have much ppl going online compared to sv right now, but it's just kind of weird to me.

Are there any regulations of penalties regarding this or is this just abandoned by gamefreak??

And should i be expecting this in other pokemon games or is swsh a different case compared to others???

i do understand & respect other opinions on them too. It is not illegal after all, just not legit. Personally i just thought using edited mons isn't something to be proud of. (pls keep in mind that after a day of being terrorised by pokemon, the reason i decided to continue playing was literally to go messing around with the alphas)

I hope no one gets too angry or upset about this. I'm fairly new to the pokemon franchise & i couldn't use nintendo online until like 5 months earlier, there are probably a lot of stuff i got wrong here!!! Sorry and thank you

Another edit

Found out about hacked sv raids via the subreddit, i guess it is really not that different.

Tysm everyone for answering my questions & sharing your experiences!! Though my questions are all answered, I'll leave this post up so hopefully new swsh players in the future don't have to struggle with this info :)

Ive used like 70 ultra balls and Im fighting regice while writing this what do I do I took a 5 day break from pokemon sword and still cant catch it please leave tips(UPDATE i caught em so no need for tips but tysm to all of you who left tips)

This is probably nothing new but... this game is stupidly boring and so easy. I literally went through this game high af and never in a moment I felt like the game was challenging me to actually use my brain. I swear, I could have played it with my eyes closed and it wouldn't have made any difference. And not only that, after you complete the game there is nothing to do. It hurts so bad because I love pokemon and I really tried to be positive and to see the bright side of it, but there is so little things I actually like about this game that it actually feels like that was the real challenge

And I thought about getting Brilliant Diamond but I'm seeing lots of bad reviews that I'm thinking that it would best if I don't, because I don't want to relive this awful experience and have to look how they messed up one of the best pokemon games ever made

I recently picked up pokemon sword after a long hiatus (last one I played was pokemon red I think). In between the two games well I learned math. Now looking at the stats I want to understand how the attack gets converted into the number damage it does.

I haven't played a Pokemon game in a while and I want to buy one for my switch. I hesitate between legends Arceus and a more traditional Pokemon game like sword and shield. So what do you guys suggest? It can be another game as well)

The games run on a Nintendo Switch (not emulated, a real one). The program gets the output images using a capture card, then, it process them to detect whether the pokemon is shiny or not (OpenCV). Finally, it emulates the joycons using bluetooth (NXBT) and control the Nintendo.

I know the rules of the subreddit and I won't publish my youtube video where all the creation process is explained or the github where people can download the program. I don't make money with this, I just feel my project can be useful for lot of players. I will post links only if a moderator allows me to edit this post and include them. If it's not the case, thank you anyways!

Not sure if this is just me, but pokemon sword is the first pokemon I have ever actually played. I have played for a few minutes here and there in the past on other friends systems through the years but I never actually sat down and played a pokemon game.

I know pokemon is kind of made to also be played by kids but it is a little disappointing that there is almost zero challenge. Either way I am enjoying collecting all the pokemon and exploring around.

So a quick backstory: Pokemon SV was my first mainline pokemon game in years, XY being the last. I really loved playing SV in spite of its numerous problems, and while shiny hunting for antique sinistea, I learned that there is a much more reliable method in SwSh and also that I can get almost all of the legendaries in the DLC. Seemed like a good deal to me so I decided to buy it.

Don't really have anything much to say about the gameplay but I have to say it feels good to not have frame drops every 0.1 microseconds. Other than that, it's just plain old pokemon, but I can make some pokemons bigger and stronger. I think terastalization is a more interesting gimmick than dynamax but I also can't deny some gigantamax pokemons look really cool. e24fc04721
