The only thing thats annoying me is the *popping* sound when sending a message on Whatsapp. This sound is louder compared to the others but I dont know why. I restarted the phone already and played again with the sound level but nothing helped. Sometimes the *popping* sound is in harmony with the other sounds but more often its louder than the other sounds.

When it happened, it looked like the microphone stopped working. WhatsApp audio messages were empty, videos were silent and the voice recorder also recorded empty audios. I had to reboot to solve the issue.

The issue I'm having is that whilst WhatsApp is active, I'm not receiving any sound or vibration notifications for WhatsApp messages when I have the alert style set to 'none', despite having explicitly turned on both sound and vibration notifications. This only occurs within the app itself; when my phone is inactive, I receive both sound and vibration notifications as expected.

So, I want to keep my WhatsApp notifications silent without unabling them but I have done everything and I still get the annoying sound everytime. As you can see the app is on silent but I still hear the sound. I don't want to have my phone on silent all the time and it seems to me there is a bug either with android or with this phone. Is anyone else having the same issue?

I think you did not notice that WhatsApp does not make a notification sound until you interact with the page, and the same note that appears for you appears on the WhatsApp web page if you receive a notification without interacting with the page (See the last log in image bellow):

Here is the power of the frontend frameworks (Like Angular) that make all website as a single page, as you only need to interact once so that you continue to receive notifications sound even when you change the page.

Not all these tips will relate to your issue. Some suggestions are aimed at those who can't send a voice message, while others are for those who can't receive or hear a voice message. Skip past any not relevant to your issue.

It's possible that the message playback speed was accidentally set to 1.5x or 2x speed. Check your display and if you see that it's set to 1.5x or 2x, tap the number to cycle past 2x and back to regular (1x) speed.

From the WhatsApp app, open the Chats menu and choose the message you want to delete. Next, tap and hold the message to pull up a menu, then select Delete.

You can recover deleted voice messages (and non-voice messages) in WhatsApp by restoring your account data. Note: This will only work if you've previously made a backup that contains the message you want to restore.

I'm not sure if my iPhone doesn't have this feature or if all the iPhones don't have this functionality. I'm a new iPhone user. I used Android until this time. And basically, I can't adjust the volume of the earpiece speaker while I am listening voice messages on Whatsapp through the earpiece speaker. Because Whatsapp has the function to hear voice messages directly via an earpiece speaker when approaching the ear. But I can't adjust the volume. I tried to adjust the volume on cellular (normal) calls, and it worked. But it doesn't work on Whatsapp messages and it is the same on Telegram. Android has this feature. Is there a fix for this? Or is it absent in the first place?

In a professional setting, it is crucial to prioritize efficiency, focus, and discretion in our communication methods. This is why considering silencing WhatsApp message sounds while texting becomes essential.

Your phone is probably constantly buzzing, beeping, and vibrating because of various alerts that pop up from other apps on your phone. It can be hard to know which alerts are coming from which apps. WhatsApp allows you to customize the notifications and alerts you receive, so it's easy to know who is contacting you without even having to look at their name. You can change the notifications and alerts for individual contacts, all messages, all group messages, and more that come through WhatsApp.

If you have a couple of people that you talk to all the time, or you are waiting for important information from someone, it may be useful to be able to tell the difference of their notifications from all the rest. You can set all of your WhatsApp contacts to have different notifications, which will make it easy to tell who is trying to get a hold of you without even glancing at your phone. You can customize the sound of messages or the ringtone.

If you wish to set an audio or music file as a message notification or ringtone, the audio file must be placed into the corresponding folder in the My Files app. Once is it stored in the correct folder, you can set the audio file as your notification sound or ringtone. Follow the below guide to learn how to customise your Notification sounds on your Galaxy smartphone.

Problem: "WhatsApp notification sound is not working on my iPhone. It is weird but I no longer get the notification sounds from WhatsApp. And the problem only happens to WhatsApp. Other apps like SMS messages still have notification tones. Try restarting the phone but still no luck. Any suggestion?"

Solution: The problem that WhatsApp notification sound is not working happens not only on iPhone but also on Android devices, like Samsung, OnePlus, LG. Some lost the notification tones after a WhatsApp or software update; others are having the problem because the custom notification tone doesn't work on their phones. Here we have 7 solutions to resolve WhatsApp notification sound not working on iPhone, Samsung, and more.

You could press the Volume Up button to increase sound to see if it make sense. As for iPhone, check if the Ring/Silent switch (usually next to the volume key) is turned on. If the switch shows orange, your iPhone is in silent mode and you have to move the switch to Ring mode.

You could reinstall WhatsApp to fix the problems. But since reinstalling WhatsApp will delete all your chats, you should back up WhatsApp messages and photos on your phone before reinstalling. If you are using an iPhone and would like to back up WhatsApp messages and media files to a computer, you can use iOS Data Backup & Restore, which allows you to restore individual WhatsApp chats instead of the whole chat history.

I was sending a voice note to a friend and when I listened to it, the first ~6 seconds were completely normal and then something weird happened. A radio transmission from some radio station (I don't know which one) cut in after a weird sound.

With Twilio, The American Red Cross built a new alert system that allows dispatchers to send messages to volunteers quickly, which saves precious minutes for dispatchers and responders in the face of an emergency.

Listening to music on Spotify on my Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android 4.1.1, the music is always being interrupted by the notification sounds, like when I get a text. I cannot find the a setting that will stop this from happening, apart from getting rid of all notification and ringer sounds altogether, which I obviously do not want to do. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Try this (on T-Mobile, Galaxy S3, Android 4.1.2): Messaging -> Settings -> Notification Settings section, uncheck "Notifications: Make sounds and show icons in status bar when you receive messages". Alternatively, to "show icons in status bar", leave Notifications checked, but "Select Ringtone: Silent" and optionally check or uncheck "Vibrate: Also vibrate when notified".

I'm about ready to do the same. Between this, the lack of bluetooth support that has been hacked into the apk for ages (so therefore probably pretty easy for them to implement), and the extremely poor options for adding personal music files, I'm about ready to jump ship. I think Google Music would fill all of my needs and I will probably just switch in the next few months. It even has DNLA streaming which I've been hoping for for months as well. The only thing still keeping me around is the fact that they use ogg vorbis and the sound quality seems to be consistently good whereas I had issues with Google Music when I tried it in the past.

Not all notifications are produced by calls/received messages. A navigation software (which also works offline) can also produce notifications, namely directions. I cannot use Spotify while I have the navigation software on. Second, why on earth would I have to put my phone in Airplane Mode, this is not a simple workaround. Especially if the fix is so easy (see previous posts)

Here's a quick one, which could come in handy for those who communicate via voice messages - and in particular, long voice messages. Today, WhatsApp has added new variable playback speed control options for audio replies.

It's pretty straightforward - now, when you get a voice message, you can play it regular 1x speed, or you lean slightly more towards Chipmunk-style voices by cranking the playback to 1.5x, or even 2.0x regular speed.

Many users have misinterpreted this to mean that Facebook will be able to access their WhatsApp messages or other personal info, which is not correct. But even as WhatsApp has worked to clarify this, and ensure that people understand what's actually changing, many have vowed to switch to alternative platforms instead, to avoid any chance of Facebook getting its hands on any more insight on them. e24fc04721
