For other cons, I noticed some minor graphical bugs, which aren't game breaking by any means, but should hopefully be addressed. HP bars forget to take off the hundreds digit if a pokemon's HP gets to below 100, or add it back in upon healing in battle. Patches of grass appear when going on staircases, trainers leave but sprites sometimes stay, bonking into walls with a bike takes a hot second to turn around (which tbh may be a Pokemon issue in of itself), and exp bars will sometimes reset to 0 graphically but will update as normal upon gaining experience. Those are minor, the only real major issue was that there would be random turns where the AI would actually not get a turn in because I'll get a pop up that'll say "don't be a thief." I can't honestly remember if that happened during the Rocket fights or not, but it would make sense if that were the case. I still wouldn't be a fan of it but it would make more sense.

I'm aware that most of you don't care about HM's like I do, but I just really hate having to go switch Pokemon in and out just to get a Surf or Fly user. Not every playthrough will I want to use a Water or Flying type, or if I do I might end up with a physical Water type instead so Surf is a bad option at that point and isn't replaceable until the Move Deleter. Even if the HM's themselves were buffed, I'd rather have High Jump Kick than Strength on Farfetch'd (fighting type 130/90 compared to 80/100, Acrobatics over Fly, etc.) and I really don't want to put Cut on Meganium or Strength on Flaaffy. Or at the very least I feel they could be TM's (like was done with Flash) so I'm inconvenienced a little but can easily grind Gold Leaves to get my moves back (still not great but is acceptable). I can always just use a Water Pokemon but I don't always want to or have a physical Water pokemon. I feel like a mechanic to have a Lapras ride like in ORAS or a teleportation system like in Blazed Glazed would have worked out just fine. You can't directly fly from Johto to Kanto (or at least what I've seen) getting from one place to another is also an issue. Johto to Kanto is fine because you can just go through New Bark, but the reverse isn't the case. There might be an easier way to fly from Kanto to Johto but I wasn't able to find it beyond going through Victory Road. But why not just fly from one area to another once unlocked?

It is definitely one of the best pokemon games - hack or not - that I ever played, as the title says. I just wanna say thank you to the people who made it. You truly honored the Johto region, my favourite one, even better than gamefreak. Everything is beautiful, fun and the storyline is awesome. The game is hard without being unfair and doesn't seem to rely too much on the competitive/meta side, thankfully.

I did a blind run (the victory road is amazing, or rather, a-maze-ing hahaha) and thus couldnt find more cool pokemon, but I managed to build a team that I enjoyed very much. Also, if someone knows if there's post game content could you lend me a hand please?

This romhack twists a little bit Johto's plot, and without having to bring something crazy, it's quite good. The female rival had some daddy issues, which can be a cliche, but for a Pokmon game is nice. Also, I love how Mega Evolution is introduced and how it follows the original canon: you need a strong bond with your pokemon to unleash it, and that connects so well with Silver's plot in the end. Also, the new location for the Pokmon League is perfect.

Vastly improved Ai, still a work in progress but it includes things like better handling of moves and the ability to switch out its pokemon against the player to counter them, along with the ability to predict the player's move to a certain extent.

Currently no plans to add new pokemon or a fairy type as the 8 bit barrier in Crystal prevents me from adding no more than 255 pokemon or moves and a fairy typing without fairy moves isn't something I'm going to add. However if I could add more moves and pokemon then I'd reconsider.

I really dont know. I want to play scarlet but am afraid for the performance issues. Xenoblade chronicles 3 look really great but the battle system looks a bit complicated. So do u guys have an idea which one i should buy?

Pokemon: The Arceus Chronicles is the worst pokemon movie I've seen, it only ever briefly mentioned Pokemon Legends Arceus in 2-3 scenes, when they catch the starters in fancy outfits, and at the end of the movie when they make a mod to the protagonist. The entire premise of the movie is heatran. They could have AT LEAST made it a good legendary. It's also kind of a chore to watch it. Me and my sister had really high hopes for it, so it's really disappointing to see how bad it was. :/

I've been playing this game with my little sister for just shy of 12 hours and we've been having a blast. The characters and new mons are great, it's fun to plan your routes based off of your team composition and seeing new pokemon in the field is always exciting. That being said, playing it in tandem with XC3 shows me what these games are missing to feel like true blue JRPGs. 17dc91bb1f
