POETRY JOURNEY

POETRY JOURNEY is a Remedial Learning Module meticulously developed for Grade 7 English teachers and learners. This instructional material aims to strengthen fundamental language competencies, with particular emphasis on vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills. It is aligned with the Grade 7 English MATATAG curriculum for the first quarter, focusing specifically on Philippine literature—most notably, poetry.

This module offers a comprehensive selection of lessons, a curated vocabulary list, and a variety of meaningful activities. These are designed to support both guided classroom instruction and independent learning, making the module a flexible and valuable resource for teachers and students alike.

Through the study of timeless and culturally rich Philippine poems, learners are encouraged to explore and appreciate the nation's literary heritage. Poetry Journey is the product of an undergraduate thesis titled “DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF LEARNING MODULE IN REMEDIAL INSTRUCTION FOR STRUGGLING GRADE 7 LEARNERS”. This project was developed by third-year students Hazel N. Canoa, Crisabel P. Rutia, Eunice Jane L. Ornido, who are pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English at Bicol University Polangui, Polangui, Albay.
