I am that black lab that follows you around

I am the highway sign that tells you where to go

I am the voice that tells you what you should know

In a way like a disapproving father with a frown

But some days I’m like your own personal cheerleader

But Perhaps, after all, I was wrong

Actually, I am your old action figure who after all

Would be your role model, your entertainment, your friend

But after all the years of fun, daylights and nightfall,

You cast me aside on a shelf, growing dust and becoming

The stories and tales of faded memories coming to an end
