If you want a rugged, fast-charging cable for older Beats headphones that sees heavy sweat and impact on the court, choose Podokas USB Charger Compatible; if you need a sleek, magnetic 2-in-1 adapter to listen to music and charge your modern iPhone or Android while playing basketball, choose Criello Magnetic USB-C.
• Podokas USB Charger Compatible: Its biggest strength is delivering double the charging speed of standard cables with a durable aluminum alloy shell built for high-amp output; its trade-off is that it only works with legacy micro-USB Beats devices and not modern H1 chip models. This pick is for the dedicated runner who refuses to carry a dead Beats Solo 3 during a game.
• Criello Magnetic USB-C: Its biggest strength is the unique ability to provide simultaneous 60W fast charging and Hi-Res audio through a single magnetic connection point without compromising sound quality; its trade-off is that it requires a specific USB-C port and does not support data transfer. This pick is for the player using an iPhone 15 or newer who wants to stay powered up while listening to their workout playlist.
The Podokas USB Charger Compatible is designed with a very specific mission in mind: keeping older Beats hardware alive and charged when you are in the middle of a high-intensity session. The design focuses entirely on performance and durability rather than versatility. The charging head is engineered to deliver power up to 10 watts at 5 volts with a current of 2 amps. This specification means the charging speed is twice as fast as ordinary cables, which is a critical feature when you have limited time between quarters or during a quick halftime break. You do not want to be tethered to a wall for hours just to get enough juice for one practice.
The physical construction suggests this product was built to withstand the rigors of sports environments. The enclosure is made from polyvinyl chloride, a material known for being flame retardant and flexible enough to survive being tossed into a gym bag. Inside, there is a built-in safe and quick charging chip designed specifically to protect the battery from loss and aging. This internal protection is vital because cheap chargers often overheat or fluctuate voltage, which can permanently damage the lithium-ion batteries inside your headphones. With the aluminum alloy shell protecting the connection points, the cable handles the stress of being pulled, twisted, and wrapped around your wrist without fraying.
However, this product is not for everyone. It is strictly compatible with the "micro" headset and speaker jack found on older Beats models like the Solo series, Studio series (specifically generations 2 and 3), Powerbeats 2 and 3, and the original Pill speakers. If you own any Beats device released after 2018 that features the H1 chip or uses a Lightning port, this cable will simply not fit. Furthermore, it is incompatible with the Beats Studio Buds, Beats Flex, and Powerbeats Pro. You must verify that your device has the proprietary micro-USB port before purchasing. If you are looking for a universal charger for your entire ecosystem of devices, this is not the tool for the job. It is a specialized solution for a specific, older generation of audio gear that still performs exceptionally well for those who refuse to upgrade.

The Criello Magnetic USB-C represents a shift toward modern convenience and multifunctionality. This adapter is designed for users who have transitioned to USB-C devices but still rely on traditional wired headphones for the best audio fidelity during play. The standout feature here is the dual-function capability: it allows you to charge your device via Power Delivery (PD) up to 60 watts while simultaneously transmitting high-resolution audio. This eliminates the need to juggle two separate dongles or find a wall outlet to charge your phone while trying to listen to your favorite track. The magnetic design ensures a solid connection that resists accidental dislodging, which is essential when you are moving around the court or dribbling hard.
Durability is another major selling point for this model. The cable is braided with nylon, providing a level of resistance to wear and tear that plastic jackets cannot match. The premium aluminum alloy case serves a dual purpose: it protects the internal components and aids in heat dissipation, ensuring that the device stays cool even under the load of 60-watt charging. The adapter supports a maximum sampling rate of 32-bit and 384 kHz, which means the audio transmission is clean, free of electrical noise, and preserves the integrity of the sound. For a basketball player who relies on bass-heavy tracks to maintain rhythm and energy, the promise of high-quality sound without interference is significant.
This product is tailored for owners of recent smartphones and tablets. It is compatible with the latest iPhone models (including the 16 and 17 series), various iPad Pros and Airs, Samsung Galaxy S-series phones, Google Pixel devices, and even some laptops like the MacBook Pro/Air. However, buyers must note that this adapter does not support data transfer; it is purely for audio and power. Additionally, it requires the use of an original PD adapter and cable that support PD fast charging to achieve the full 60-watt output. If you are using an older charger that doesn't meet these specifications, the charging speed may be reduced. It is also important to remember that external USB-C to 3.5mm adapters are not supported by this unit, so it must plug directly into the host device. If you have a modern USB-C device and want to keep using your wired earphones without interruption, this is the ideal companion.

The ability to combine 60W fast charging with Hi-Res audio in a single magnetic dongle is a game-changer for anyone using a recent iPhone or Android device. The magnetic connection adds a layer of security that prevents the cable from snapping off during active movement, which is exactly what you need for basketball.
